Honestly….I’m probably generous in giving this 3 stars. Not because I don’t like the fit of the shoe and it’s comfort, because I do. I’ve been a long-time wearer of Saucony shoes and this is my first time in the Ride from the Guide. (After looking at my wear pattern, I realized I didn’t need the slight stability.) The toe box is nice and roomy, and I love the 8mm drop. I rate these shoes low, because the quality is terrible. I treadmill walk or outdoor walk in them approximately 3 times a week, usually no more than 3 miles at a time. I think they’re about 6 months old, but like I said, not every day and not huge mileage. I have two huge holes in the heel of right foot, which has literally never happened in a pair of Saucony shoes before. The left shoe has one heel hole. I wear Balega socks 99% of the time and ALWAYS untie my shoes before taking them off. The tread/bottom of the shoe is awful. There’s one picture in the reviews showing the previous tread pattern vs current, and it’s true — the tread wears SO quickly. It’s absurd. I feel like the shoes have a lot of potential life left in them, but the heel holes are getting problematic. I wontt be buying Saucony shoes for walking again, unfortunately, which is a shame, because I’ve been wearing them for years; when I find something that works for me, I like to stick with it. Unfortunately, I’m going to look elsewhere for (hopefully) better quality in a walk/run shoe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves these shoes! She says they are really comfortable. She especially likes how soft the soles are and the material over the toes. They also seem to be really well made, which we very much appreciate as parents :)
I have gone through 3 pairs of the Ride 15 and was excited to get these when they came out. I use them for running, typically 20-30 miles a week. They're smooth and comfortable as expected, although I probably would size up half a size for the next pair. The toe box feels less roomy than the Ride 15. I have been a true size 7 in Saucony running shoes (and in all 3 pairs of my Ride 15s) for years, but had to size up to 7.5 for the Triumph 20s recently for the same issue with the toe box. This Sprig/Peony colorway is so fun and vibrant, and I've already gotten a bunch of compliments from both guys and girls on my shoes. :) Please bring back more green/pink combos like the Mirage 3!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these sneakers! They are not only stylish but they are super comfortable and light weight. l really like the color combination and style, and they go great with everything I own. The shoes offer ample support and the perfect amount of cushion that I need for running and exercising. They're well made and hold up nicely. Overall, I am super impressed with fit, style and comfort of these shoes!
New soles on the RIde 15-17 are not what they were! Ride 14's would last forever (well over 400 miles) and I haven't been able to even get 150 miles out of my 16's. I have been a die hard Saucony supporter for over a decade but if they can't change back to the old soles, I may have to jump ship! Hope you can improve Saucony!!
Not comfortable at all. 4 months later and still feel like they are not broke in. Within a month the tread was badly damaged. Their tread is completely missing on the ball if the foot, making them even less comfortable. I have always loved Saucony, but not impressed with this model.
The Ride 16 in wide fits just right. The Ride 15s were too narrow even in wide width and had no room in the toe box. Saucony (and every other manufacturer) has been making shoes narrower and narrower since 2020. What used to be a Regular width is now a Wide width when comparing new vs older models of the same shoes. The Ride 16s slight increase in width and roomier toe box were a welcomed relief! These are a great all around shoe for easy, long, and speed work runs. The foam provides enough support and cushion without being too plush. I’m happy with these shoes and only hope they add more color selection for the next model!
I’ve been running in Rides for many years. The 16s fit great on my foot, perfect actually. They are very lightweight. I love the new colors (I bought the green/pink and the white, they were my Mother’s Day gift). Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to be using them for running. There is very little tread on the 16s. Makes it slick for outdoor running. I fell about 3 miles into my run. Hard. On cement. The shoe just slipped. When I compare these to my older Rides, I’m surprised at how flat the bottoms are comparatively. I’ve been running on a regular basis for 25 years. I’ve used Rides in multiple half marathons. Will have to look for a new shoe.
I ordered these about a month ago. My last 3-4 pairs were the Hoka arahi 6, but these aren’t available anymore and reviews for the 7s made it sound like I wouldn’t like them. I have wide-ish flat feet and naturally supinate, although now that I’ve been running a while my gait is more neutral. I’m glad I made the switch to the saucony ride. They feel really springy and are lightweight. My only issue is they run maybe half a size smaller than the hokas and the laces are really short. Will definitely be ordering again. Oh for reference I just run for fun and might run a couple half marathons a year. Typical weekly mileage is about 25 miles and I run about a 9 minute mile.
So disappointed in the newer Ride. This had been my only running shoe since 2015. Consistently could get 450 - 500 miles on a pair. I rotate through a 10-14 pairs of shoes to allow for recovery. What’s wrong with this picture? Shoe on left from 2016 and well over 400 miles, shoe in the middle brand new, shoe on the right has 100 miles on it and the tread is already worn. Looking for a new brand.
