I’ve tried so many shoes searching for the perfect HYROX shoe for both training and race day, and this one finally checks all the boxes! It’s flexible enough for sled pushes, springy for jumping and running at faster speeds, and still comfortable at slower paces. Best of all, I’ve had no knee or joint pain like I usually feel with carbon-plated shoes—so it’s definitely beginner-friendly. The only downside (and why I took off one star) is that the tongue is way too short and the laces are too short for tying a runner’s knot. The size is true to size and the toe box is in the wider side so I don't recommend this if you have narrow feet.
I am a loyal Endorphin Speed show buyer and I have been disappointed with the changes from 3 to 4 to 5. The tongue is oddly short and the laces are super short. Why does each shoe have different lace styles? One of my shoes had round laces that slipped a lot, another had a nice normal length and my recent pair - super short. I bought my normal size and this time they are slightly too small. My toes hurt after long runs. I have to buy another pair and half size larger for long runs. Ugh. Stop messing with a good thing! Go back to Speed 3!!!!
It’s really sad what Saucony did to the Endorphin Speed. I was an avid purchaser of the speed 3, they were perfect in every way for me. A good toe box, narrow heal, high arch, fast. Now they have none of that list. The shoes make my feet go numb and are extremely loose in the heal. Occasionally they are fast but you really have to work for it unlike when you ran in the 3s. It’s like they took all the worst things about the 2s and 3s to make the 4s and 5s. Unfortunately after 4 years and 8 pairs of the 3s I no longer can find any more in my size, I tried these and they didn’t work so now it’s back to the drawing board to find a good shoe. If you are a 3 fan and disappointed like I am, I have found the New Balance Rebels and the adidas adizero are pretty similar but nothing will ever be as good.
The endorphin speed five are perfect combination of lightweight for my factor as well as supportive for marathon training. I am currently pursuing. I love the color options, they are very unique. I find that the fit is right on target with my shoe size. Overall, these are phenomenal shoes! I highly recommend for faster, training sessions and distance running.
I am using these for long runs and workouts and they have been perfect for that. There is a nice bounce. Very comfortable although they initially felt heavier than I thought they would. Really glad I bought these.
I recently bought these and have had a decent couple good quality sessions on them. Just note, if you like using the runners loop, these are literally impossible to use.
Endorphin speed 5 - perfect intersection of pop, shape & weight. Fun to crank repeats, and smooth to cruise miles.
Love this running shoes, 🤩🤩 the best for long distance!
I am a religious user of the Endorphin speeds and purchased my first pair of the Endorphin Speed 5s a few months ago. After a week or 2 wearing them, I developed foot pain which turned out to be a stress fracture that took me out of training for my fall marathon. While I thought this shoe had potential, the geometry of the shoe seems pretty weird (at least for someone with high arches) and I’m pretty annoyed that a new shoe caused an injury that ruined my marathon season.
I love the endorphin line and I always buy them. I was expecting the same or at least similar to the speed 4. These are much more stiff and the material is more race shoe material. That being said they do run a touch small, like a typical race shoe does. I bought these in my normal size and my toes are killing me after running in them. I would recommend half size up.
