Sizing Notes
All measurements are stated in inches.
Measuring instructions: wrap a string around the widest part of your head 0.4 to 0.8 in. (1-2 cm) above the top of your ears and brow line. Add 0.8 in. (2 cm) for comfort. Measure string with ruler using final measurement to find head circumference and size needed.

Disappointed
As stated in title, was disappointed and sent back. My other Tilley hats were of much better quality. This felt light and - dare I say - a bit cheap. The sizing seems to have changed. Ordered same size as my other Tilley hats and this one was close to a size bigger. Makes me wonder if success has gone to their heads. Or hats? Have been an enthusiastic advocate in the past. Will rethink.
For the long haul
I have had this hat for about 15 years now. It shows some wear but it a great hat. Constant positive comments about it. The outer band needs to be re-glued in the first couple years but otherwise worth the money. It is not for summer as it is quite warm. Taken it around the world and would take it again.
Great Hat for Spring and Autumn seasons.
