My new go to sunglasses

These sunglasses are really good. The clarity is fantastic, they are light weight and they fit me very well. The first thing i noticed was just how sharp they make things look. I live in Florida and the sun is very bright. I wore these for hours driving my car on a few long trips and due to their fit and light weight never noticed them. They made everything easier to see. During my bike rides, the wrap around feature was very nice and they never moved. The the megol nose piece just holds and doesn't slip even when sweating. The arms fit well under the helmet straps and are not forced against my head. While riding into the wind I never had wind hit my eyes, but there is enough ventilation that they didn't fog in the humidity. On kayak outings again, I never had to worry about them falling off as they are tight but comfortable. The Autolock hinges lock closed or open which is a nice feature but took some getting use to after first trying to open them like other frames which don't have this feature. Locking open sure makes it easier to put them on versus those that can partly open and not lock. The glasses include a solid case, extra clear lenses in a soft pouch, a pouch/cleaning clothe for the glasses and a sticker. All nicely made. The only feature I wish they had was polarization. While they are very sharp and clearly make it easier to see in and around the water, the extra observability gained with polarization when sight fishing or just kayaking or boating would make these my "all use sunglasses". But I will wear them for everything else.

Great so long as you're willing to wear a hat too!

These sunglasses have incredibly well made lenses. The colors and images are very crisp in shade and sun regardless of whether you are on land or in/on the water. I caution you though, in order to enjoy such benefits, you absolute must wear them with a brimmed hat. Being someone who often wears a hat on my adventures anyway, this isn't a problem. And if you're someone like me, then these would definitely be more in the 4 star range -likely a good pair of sunglasses for you. However, if you aren't like me in that regard, I would steer clear of these bad boys despite their top notch optics. Reason being, that they somehow pick up a lot of light from the space between your face and the frame sans hat. The light bounces off the curves of the lense and greatly obscure your vision.

I hate that I LOVE these

I’ve got to be honest, I WANTED to hate these glasses because I thought they would look too masculine on my face but I LOVE THEM. They are excellent! They block the rays without making everything too dim. They are light as a feather!! They stay on your head and don’t fall off when you are looking down into the water!!.They are curved around your head and cut so they don’t sit on your cheeks. The nose piece is perfect and they never slip down or imprint your nose when you take them off. I quite literally forget that I am wearing them because they are so light and fit so well and wrap around my view. Like polarized glasses do, they allow your eyes to cut through the water, which is really helpful for me as a marine biologist. They are very light colored (I have the yellow ones) so I often end up wearing them inside because I forget I am wearing them at all. Seriously, I like the functionality, fit, and weight of these much much more than my polarized Ray Bans. If I’m doing marine biology, water sports, fishing, or driving the boat, I will definitely be wearing these instead of my Ray Bans. As far as them making my face look masculine, I guess you can be the judge of that! TLDR: These glasses are basically perfect and I might be vain.

Great fit and very comfortable

I’m a cyclist and a runner, and I find a lot of sports sunglasses are on the large side for me (I wear a women’s medium helmet). These have a great fit, and work well with a cycling helmet. Lenses are good quality, and it comes with a spare set of clear lenses if you’re out late.

Nice bike sunnies

I’ve worn these a few times while engaged in various activities such as cycling & hiking. They’re comfortable and provide good sun protection and glare. I like how they frame the sides of my eyes to help block wind while cycling. My husband has tried them too and favors them over his traditional shades and likes the fit. They are a little big on my small face, but not so big they’re uncomfortable. The two lens options are a great feature, especially when the daylight shifts while out in adventures.

Photochromic Lens Fail, frames are great

Beyond disappointed in the new resolve photochromic lens. Exclusively worn Smith for more than a decade & this is the first purchase I have regretted. Chose the photochromic lens option for long days on the bike or runs. They are great mid-day but completely fail to adjust to lighting conditions in the morning or evening, especially when riding/running into the sun. The whole point of an adjustable lens is that you can use it in variable lighting conditions, throughout the day. Riding/running/driving into the rising/setting sun with these will leave you blind and squinting as they won't adjust to those light conditions. Frames are great.

Great looking sunglasses but smear easily

I wasn't sure if I would keep these when they first arrived. For pricey shades ($159) they arrived with the lenses not seated properly in the frames and had smudges on them! When I cleaned them for the first time one of the lenses popped out of the frame and landed on the floor! That was because they weren't seated properly. I tried wearing them and decided to keep them, but the lenses get smeared easier than my previous Smith Parallel 2s which is a negative for me.

Quality product for almost every day

I've been using these sunglasses every time I got a little bit of sun. They are sitting firmly on my face while I was riding my bike, running, even when I fell on Mitchell Peak trail. I used this sunglasses on 4 trails. On snowy trail they perform good. I used them in car (which is not recommended), since I squint a lot without them. That yellowish shade of them make any day sunny, which is nice. I have to say what was not that okay for me. I don't know maybe it is shape of my face, but they are sitting kind crooked on my face, it is not a lot, still noticeable. Also I cannot explain, but sometimes I got flare inside glasses. Oh, almost forgot, lenses are replaceable which is very nice.

I am totally loyal to

I am totally loyal to Smith optics for their quality products and unmeasurable, superior service. I have a small framed face and Smith does not offer an array of choices for a "small fit", but these fit well, are lightweight, provide wrap around which is perfect for biking or kayaking, and sharp vision for tennis...I got the rose mirror...which was rated for med-high sun..I probably should have chosen a darker lens for the bright sunlight in fla....but the interchangeable lens will offer me that option. The bridge on the glasses is adjustable so it accommodates my wide nose bridge, customizing the fit.

Excellent optical quality, look, and fit!

These glasses are a perfect fit for my outdoor adventure and driving needs. They look great and fit perfectly. The exceptional optical clarity and ChromaPop tinting are remarkable. Liked them so much that I ordered another pair to have as a spare. Photo on the Summit of Mt. Whitney! Love 'em!
