Bought for walking my dog through trails around my house. I love them so far. Waterproof and comfortable.
I bought these shoes specifically to hike in Zion National Park. I am so glad that I did. I typically don’t leave reviews, but these shoes deserve it. For reference, the conditions were snow on the trails with streams and puddles. I was able to keep reaction on the snow and keep my feet dry even after stepping in a stream. I was worried my sock would be wet, but it was completely dry. There was enough room in the toe box and room for a curex insert which I normally put in my shoes. Overall, definitely recommended for hiking.
Love this shoe! Bought it for a trip to Iceland which will entail a lot of hiking, but took them with me to a recent trip to Breckenridge. Wore them both snowshoeing and running on a snow-packed trail and my feet stayed warm and did not get wet. The shoe is very comfortable and fits similar to other Saucony shoes I have purchased before. Definitely recommend.
These are beautiful running shoes, but they are too narrow! I have always worn medium width so I was surprised these were so tight across the ball of my feet! I hate to do returns, but with these, I have to.
Purchased them in anticipation of sleet in ice season in NE and have not tested that our yet but the traction is great and the fit was good initially but now I am having front of foot pain. I have had over 10 pairs of the Altra Superior but wanted something a little stiffer put still pliable. These fit the bill for sure - maybe its the gortex ? I will certainly use them butnot sure I will be able to come back to them in Gortex GTX I ordered a 1/2 size down from my normal Altra size and they seem to be just fine one size up was too big
I first thought these were smaller than my normal size when I first tried them on. Then I realized it was something about the feeling of the rubber front and decided to run with them. They are amazing. They are slimmer than my previous two pairs, but not lacking in room in the toe box. The rubber front and rest of the shoe has allowed me to run and hike through muddy and wet trails. The additional padding and stability in the heel are awesome. I really love this update. Only wish there were more colors to choose from like the Peregrine.
I got these shoes for my first backpacking trip 2 years ago and they have held up so well. Comfortable, lightweight, and good grip. Went on another week-long trip recently during a downpour. Of course my shoes, socks, etc. were soaked, but even though I only had a misty breeze to dry them out that night, my feet stayed relatively dry the next day. I was amazed and so happy! (I also had a giant stick stab into the laces, but was stopped from going through the shoe thankfully). Very grateful to have these as my goto hiking shoes :)
Very good shoe, have ordered these multiple times over the years. Gore-Tex lasts for a couple of years, then it seems to fade (and the sole wears out). Biggest negative - *horrible* colors. The pink on the sole of the black / gray was is absolutely awful, and the light gray one is very 'bright'. I'm a little embarrassed to wear them outside, but alas, I have no choice (at least the dog doesn't care about my appearance). Please make normal colors, not all women want pink and bright colors!
Thank you for your feedback!
They just arrived, but I love them right out of the box. I have slightly narrower than average feet and these are a slim fit without being tight. The heel cups nice.y and the sole offers a nice supportive feel. The lugs are nice and sticky feeling and won’t grab dirt. The outer finish looks easy to wipe off and the greyish tone won’t look as filthy as black trail shoes get. I am size 8, but I ordered 8.5 because I don’t like to feel squished. These are perfect with a light summer sock.
Mary, We love hearing from happy customers! Thanks for sharing!
I bought this one a month ago. Actually I bought 2. One for my daughter, and one for me. Mine was not waterproof. The other one was. I contacted Saucony and it was ascertained the product was defective. I am in the process of getting a replacement. Definitely support a company that stands behind their product. The runner was very comfortable, light, and fits well. Traction excellent in dry and wet conditions, steep terrain in loose dirt and rocks.
