Saucony  Peregrine 16 Trail-Running Shoes - Women's

I love them. Needed a new pair of trail shoes. Was hoping they would work on the snowy sidewalks - and they have! I've put 75 km on them in 2 weeks outside, and am absolutely thrilled with them. They're also going to get me through multiple Spartan Races this year, and a good trail runner is so important!

I have bought Peregrine 11, 12, 13, 14 and now 16. The Peregrine 16 is just what I expected...nice roomy but not sloppy toe box, just the right cushion, a good vibram sole for dirt and snow. I have always liked this shoe.

I have difficulty finding a comfortable shoe for my feet. I’m not a runner, but I like to walk/hike and end up on different terrain. These are very comfortable, supportive and the Vibram sole is the icing on the cake for me. Finding a wide width shoe that encompasses all of the above features is pretty difficult.

I don't feel like it's fair to give less than a 3 star review since I did not actually run in these, however, upon trying them on and jogging around the house there seemed to be a construction issue where when the foot flexed at the natural joint where the metatarsals meet the toes, excess material bunched up and pinched inwards on the lateral side of the big toe. Breathable upper materials will often flex inward, but the rubberized part of the shoe was actually creating the pinch point and was super uncomfortable. I could not imagine risking running in these if that was going to happen every landing and take off. It's sad because the heel cup felt well positioned and cushioned and was quite comfortable, good grippy lugs and sole, and light while protective. I have a low volume foot, and the taper of the fit from the midfoot to the toes was a bit wide so it likely would not have worked for me even without the pinch issue anyways. Great colors and liked the upper material. True to size length wise.

These are extremely comfortable and supportive right out of the box. I read they needed a break in period but I had no issues the first time I wore them. I bought them to wear on a trip as a light hiking shoe yet a shoe I could wear everyday. I'm happy with my purchase.

I've done 2 trail runs in this shoe! The trails are very rocky here in Lake Havasu City, AZ and these shoes give me the confidence I need to tackle them with comfort!

The Peregrine provides great traction while running in snow and helps a bit on ice.
