Responsive shoe with excellent grip for snow and icy roads! Not slippery and comfortable from day 1. I run about 10-15 km. On these.
I wanted to love this shoe as Saucony is my go to school. I found the back of the shoe rubbed a bit on my achilles area which caused some irritation. The tread was great for the icy days but once they get snow in them the antislip aren't as useful. It would also be great if the drop was higher than 4mm. They are great at keeping your feet warm and dry.
I was excited to have a shoe for when the snow starts to melt and freezes over at night. I learned the hard way during my first run in these that their name is not accurate and they are NOT to be trusted in ice/snow. I was slipping and sliding around more than if I had worn my normal trail shoes. I almost fell multiple times. I really don't know under what conditions these were tested during production but it could not have been real ice/snow. The midsole is flat underneath which I suppose is meant to be "sticky," but I did NOT stick. If you like the original Peregrine's (as I do), just buy those. You'll have more traction than wasting your money on these - or wear trax (much safter)

This is my new go-to winter running shoes. It keeps my feet warm and dry(if the snow isn't too deep). Traction is good in snow pack but obviously not so great on ice.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We appreciate the feedback.
I have always loved my Saucony’s. I trail hike/run and wanted the added ice -anti slip grip. I was pretty disappointed in these shoes. These are not worth the extra price and don’t really do the job. The foot bed is inferior to other cheaper Saucony’s and the balls of my feet are sore after longer, nothing extreme, hikes. I slip CONSTANTLY on the trails in these…which means on regular, non ice, trails these do not suffice- at all. On snow/ice I don’t feel any added security. I do not recommend this product.
This is the second pair of Peregrines I've had and I love them. They're cool and breathable enough in the summer while providing great traction and are water resistant enough to run in the rain and snow. Perfect for travel so you don't need to lug that pair of heavy hiking boots around. This new version has a design that really hugs the foot without constricting. I have a medium to wide foot.
Wore these at a SPARTAN race - A+!!! I'm glad I went with a water-resistance, high traction sneaker! Felt confident in slippery conditions and tight corners. Light sneaker with plenty of room in the toe box. Traction was EXCELLENT! The shoe design is a little bulkier than Endorphin models, but incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend.
This is my first pair of Peregrines and I am so happy I bought them. In addition to them being light and ultra comfortable (even on the first wear) they’ve given me good grip on a 10 km icy road run and have kept my feet completely dry while wading through big puddles on the trails. Worth every penny!
Thank you for sharing the great feedback!
Great shoe. Wide enough toe box. Second winter. Out in slush yesterday and feet warm and dry. My only problem is having to double the knot when lacing. It makes me feel like a child that can't keep her laces done up. Can you send me laces that don't undo within minutes of tying them.
I love this shoe for my winter running. Living in MN, I use accessory products for the ice and snow around here, so I don’t know how well these shoes would work on ice without any help. They do, however, keep my feet super warm and dry even when temps go below zero. Love that!
