Very disappointed with this purchase. Within a few weeks of purchasing this Brooks shoe, we found that the fabric around the top of the show started tearing. This shoe has not been washed and is lightly used but the fabric is so easily worn that it almost seems to rub off...
Not true to size, bit smaller than expected, I fet compliments for the color- fiery red. Light enough but not as light as Catamount.
Love my new Cascadia Trails, comfy supportive light.
I loved the look and most importantly feel of these shoes! I wore them a couple times a week on shorter hikes for the first month and I was shocked to see how quickly they worn. In a few weeks the material around the ankle had a sizable hole. Great shoes, but they look like I have had them 3+ years in only a few weeks which is disappointing...
Love running the trails! I was a little concerned to purchase the Cascadia 16 as previously I was using the Adrenaline Trail Shoe and was sad they no longer made them. It can be hard to change over when you know a shoe really works for you. After speaking to customer service I decided to give the Cascadia 16 a go. So far I have had no issues with them and they are just as comfortable as my previous trail shoes.
I got a women size 7.5 Wide, like some peope's reviews mentioned it's stiff specially the top part, yes, I agree with that but it only took me a little while to break into it. I have already wore it for hiking twice and actually I quite like it and it seems durable than Altra Lone Peak 6. Except one thing, it maybe too warm due to the durable materials, but will see if it's bearable in summer. There's something else, not much color choices for women, and availability of majority sizes seemed running out. Women's shoes color isn't attractive than men's. I want to a shoes color I like in men size 6 (equivalent 7.5 for women size), but men's shoes size doesn't come with 6. The selection is too limited.
My go-to trail running and hiking shoe! It took a little period of break-in (felt a bit stiff at first), but after that they have become a favorite. The trails I run on involve a lot of loose and sharp rock, and these have held up surprisingly well for almost 300 miles in. Really solid stability for technical terrain -- no sliding and give the ankles a break without being too clunky. Would function for short distances on road, but likely not preferred for longer than ~5 miles on pavement. They aren't the most responsive/springy, but I feel like the energy-saving ankle stability helps make up for that on technical terrain. Definitely recommend!
I was a little disappointed in this version (16). For the past 20 years I've been able to buy the Cascadia in a size 9 with confidence that they'd fit perfectly. This version, the length is good, but the toe-box is very wide. I feel like a duck when walking in them. I've tried three different pair, hoping that it was an error in manufacturing, but that has not been the case. I walk 5-10 miles a day, and my feet and calves are sore at the end of my day, which has not been my past experiences with the Cascadia. I'm hoping the reviews on the 17's are correct (the toe box is narrow)...otherwise, I'm going to have to find another go-to shoe.
Great trail shoe, Good for long distance and technical trails. Good on rocks and gravel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received these on Monday, hiked 23k with them on Saturday. Perfect!
