So-so
Haven’t had this on the water yet. Crossing fingers. REI’s listing says this included a carbon paddle but the box lists an aluminum paddle (which is cheaper and not a floater). That’s a huge bummer. There were a few reasons I went with this iSUP and that was one. I had my eye on another model and should have gone with it. I inflated this Connelly using the included air pump but the needle inside the gauge of the air pump never moved. Repair kit includes pieces of vinyl only and nothing else. Feeling skeptical about how it will perform on the water now.
Great for going out with a little one!
Nice wide, stable board. The seat is actually a great feature for taking my toddler out on the water with me. I haven’t used the carrying bag that other reviewers were concerned about, but as a petite person, I like that the board is nice and light and pretty easy for me to carry down the street to the water fully inflated.
Great Board - Horrible Carry Bag
The board was nice and ridged used both as a standup and sit down. The paddle was nice and sturdy. The carry bag was horrible. The left shoulder strap ripped 1/2 off the first time it was strapped on to carry to the river. The bag was not built for the weight of the board and the board is heavy.
Great board, terrible bag
As others have stated the travel bag is complete garbage and the reason for the 3 star review instead of 5. One of the straps busted the first time it was picked up by it at the airport which made for quite a chore getting it around the airport with all of our other bags. In addition to the strap breaking the carry bag is definitely not a travel bag which I guess should've been fairly obvious to us by how thin the material is. It was pretty much shredded by the baggage handlers on the first flight it went on. Luckily the board itself made it through the trip with minor surface damage, but not sure why you even bother putting a slot for a luggage tag on it if it doesn't stand up to air travel. If you have any intention of flying with it buy a different board or prepare to spend additional money on a travel bag.
Great Versatile Board - Bad Carry Bag
This board is well made. Standup feels comfortable and secure. The paddle converts easily and the seat is the star of the show. The seat is more comfortable than my kayak! The carry bag, however, is awful. It ripped the first time I picked it up by the strap. Such a glaring oversight on an otherwise great product. At this price point, you would think that would be a nonissue.
Seat back does not stay in place when folded down
I have owned this for over a year. It is extremely heavy. Most importantly, when the seat is not in use, it does not stay folded down, which is extra annoying when carrying the paddleboard, and dangerous when standing/paddling. We had a friend step back, and his foot caught the edge of where the seat back should have been folded down in place, but instead caught the edge of the inset and fell overboard. I wish I could return it.
Beginner Board for Kids
Kids 11yo & 16yo each received these from Santa Dad. Board over-all is very good quality. Seat is unique and quickly goes from kayaking position to standing position. Seat doesn't stay upright as much as I would like and needs frequent adjusting. Fin requires a nut and bolt so is not super quick change and there is the possibility you could loose these in the water. I bought an extra on Amazon just in case. Only downside is the paddle: metal, heavy, gets really hot in the sun. The paddle does float though. I would rate this package 7.5/10 for everything you get for $800. Good board for beginners. But if you want to spend over a $1000 and get a board without a paddle then I would get a NRS inflatable board.
Solid, stable board
Have had this board on the water a couple of times. Fast and stable with myself and dog. Wasn't sure about the seat in the beginning, but it's a nice feature. Have not used the carrying bag that other reviewers have pointed to as problematic, but since I'm not using that in the water I will find an alternative if that becomes an issue
Great buy!!!
Super comfortable to use as a kayak and the seat folds back if you want to use as a paddleboard. Very easy to switch between the two. Very stable. The pump broke on the first try, but REI ordered another one (a different one) for free. Double paddle is great but could be little more sturdy. Would probably buy a different paddle. Overall, great buy!
