Coming from Trek Supercaliber and Procaliber. For a little more money this bike offers better equipment. I wish it had rear suspension lockout. Not as light on its feet as the Supercaliber but costs less and is almost there. I am 5'11", long legs, went with XL, perfect choice.
This bike was my first 29er full suspension bike. After doing some extensive research and going to several bike shops this was my bike. The 6K pice tag was a bit much for the recreational xc rider but when building your dream bike I was able to make room in my budget. After a couple of rides I was able to get the suspension set up to my liking and it soaks up bumps on the trail like they weren't even there in the first place. I am 5'4" and ordered a size small frame but when I was presented with a medium frame at the store I was a little disappointed. I decided to give it a try and to my surprise it fits very well. The only nuisance is the top tube is a bit to tall for my liking but I can get over that, pun intended. The fork has remote lockout but the shock doesn't and to run an external cable to the shock would just look ugly. In conclusion its a lightweight, XC rocket and worth the price tag.
