Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

So hard to find good men's knickers
It's so hard to find good men's knickers, capris, clam diggers, Rafael Nadal shorts, whatever you want to call them. I have a pair of REI 3/4 length climbing pants from over 10 years ago they're still going great. I don't climb myself - I've just found them to be excellent for cycling, as well as hiking or cold day trips to the beach when I might feel like dipping my feet in. I was thrilled to find these. The material is a bit warmer but still stretchy and breathable. The pockets are well placed and these were clearly engineered to be cycling knickers. The only reason that I only bought one pair is because they only come in one color.
So good, I bought both colors.
I found that I really like these knickers for almost everyday wear. I cycle all the time and can wear these casually anywhere. They have great splash protection and work well combined with knee high marino socks on cold days. Very comfortable or all activities and stretchy. I wear these on the beach and they do well on damp surfaces. They wick moisture and spills, clean easily, and dry fast. I wear them in the Florida summer heat as well with no complaints. Very breathable for a stretchy durable bike pant.
Hard to find solution
Ive been a knicker fan for allot of years but its a product that has fallen out of fashion and become hard to find. There are a great weight, cut and fantastic material. Temp range is broad with either normal shorts or insulating bib knickers underneath, I've done rides from the high 30s to the mid fifties comfortably. Runs smallish I normally wear a 34 or 35 in most pants and the 36 is just right for me.
The cycling knickers I didn't know I needed...
The piece of gear I didn't know I needed. Apprehensive at first, fit funny, then realize they are made to be worn OVER bike shorts. Poof! They fill out appropriately, don't seem so Oompa Loompa-ish, and feel very nice. Over the knees juuust enough, softshell wind-resistance is just right, and makes riding in cooler temps much more pleasurable without having to throw on insulated tights. Great addition to the wardrobe.
Good cool weather solution
These are a nice shoulder season pant - more coverage and more windproof than a standard pair of top layer shorts. I have a 36" inseam and the length works ok; they hit a little higher than intended but feel fine around the knee when riding. Fit is good too, not super baggy and not too tight. Size 34 fits comfortably, maybe slightly smaller than a typical 34. My "ideal" in most pants is a 33" waist so I'd size up if you're in between sizes.
Runs small
Runs smaller than expected. I ordered the same size I usually wear but couldn’t get these buttoned. The color is unique. I don’t think I would have purchased if I’d seen in person first. They are very stretchy. They look like they’d be comfortable.
Cycling knickers
Very comfortable pants, used them mountian biking, good in-between season gear. Would like other colors of the same pant. Pockets are great. They have kept me warm in 32 degree weather.
Mtb style cycling knickers with steeze...
Comfortable, stretchy and just enough warmth and protection. Great for the dirt jumps, bike park, enduro or just coffee cruising around town.
So close to awesome, but so many zippers
I love cycling in this style of pants, keeping the cold breeze off my knees, and not having to worry about the pants in the chain. I was excited when I saw REI was releasing its take. They are good pants, but... They only have two front and one side pockets, none in back... thats odd but livable. What makes it odder is that all the pockets the pants do have have zippers. This scratches my hands each time I reach in and out, the zippers are over kill. Maybe one zippered and one normal pocket in the back for v2, and remove the zippers on the other pockets.
Great fit, fabric, and features.
Super comfortable and I like the zippers. The wind/water resistance is great too. Eishyjey had a darker brown or a blue.
