Great Pants
I bought my Showers Pass pants from REi about a year ago. I commute to work via bike (about 4 miles round trip). Anytime I ride to or from work & it is raining or snowing I throw on the transit pants. I wore them on my commute this past Friday while we were receiving a snow / rain mix. The only damp area on me was the tops of my socks. The only thing I wish is the pants had at least one pocket, even a little zipper pocket would work. I'm 6'4" & I wear a size XL, they fit fine & are comfortable during the time I am in them.
Unsuitable for a shorter person
These are NOT suitable for a shorter person. I am 5’6” and these were much too long for me. After trying them on in front of my wife , she started laughing at me, When you cinch the velcros they looked like jodhpurs. I then knew I had to find a better solution. The better solution was to get REI rain pants which were MUCH cheaper, together with some Velcro straps for my legs for use with cycling. The REI rain pants DO come in a short unlike Showers Pass.
Smaller than listed on website
Not true to size. 3 to 4 inches smaller in the waist than listed and 1 to 2 inches shorter than inseam length.
Too tight for size.
Men's size large felt very tight on my crotch, butt, and hips, so much so I couldn't bend over in them. I normally wear a 34 to 36-inch waist on my jeans.
