BEST WATERPROOF HIKING SHOES!

My biggest pet peeve is wearing shoes and getting your feet and socks wet... Just the grossest feeling! So I bought these hiking shoes (my first time purchasing any sort of hiking shoe) and I was extremely pleased. I wore these around Vancouver Island and was literally walking up streams into waterfalls while everyone else around me struggled. I must have looked like a crazy person because these look like regular runners and here I am just walking through the water lol. The bottom cushion is also a major plus as these are very comfy. I highly recommend! Make sure you size up though, I usually wear 7.5 and got these in an 8!

Poor quality, maybe poor fit?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last North Face hiking shoes lasted me 5 years. They were looking a little rough and I have recently been running on trails intermittently so wanted a lighter shoe. I normally wear a 9.5 but my previous shoes were a 10 so that is what I ordered. They felt really nice at first! Unfortunately I wore them for about 15 miles over the span of 3 weeks and developed blisters every single time. My feet were sliding too much. And then I noticed the eyelets on the inner side of both shoes were bent. It's a very hard piece of plastic and I could only bend one back but it looked like it was about to snap in half. I contacted TNF and they said I could return them for a full refund. Great customer service. But I'm so sad -- I really need new hiking shoes!!!

I would buy these again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these hiking sneakers, I'm certainly not an avid hiker but we are out trail walking frequently with our pups and try to get in a family hike when we can. I'm not a fan of hiking boots and these are still sporty and sneaker-ish enough that I like them. I was skeptical spending the money but they're worth it. Comfortable, they look good, the sole is moderately rugged with good grip. Apparently the laces are delicious because one of my pups snacked on them and I couldn't tie the shoe. Funny not funny. TNF was great and sent me 2 new pair of laces for replacement! :) Really love most all TNF products

Thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I travel for my work to different states each week, exploring various places and terrains every weekend when I'm moving between places. This is my first purchase online with north face. The process of shopping and ordering online was simple and easy to navigate on the website. The frequent email updates on shipping kept my excitement up. The product was delivered in a timely manner. The shoe and the box was well packed. The color/ design and description of my shoe was exactly as noted on the website when I ordered. I wore it right away and went for a 3 mile walk. It was smooth and felt very comfortable. The shoe breathes and was definitely worth the buy. I will definitely shop here again for myself and my family. Thank you.

I LOVE THESE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just moved to the high mountains and wanted something sturdy with good traction (and still stylish) to replace my usual black Nike sneakers I wore daily around town/running errands. These shoes are IT. They have excellent traction yet are low profile and not bulky. They're great on snow and hiking trails, but still appropriate to wear around afterwards too (without that feeling of needing to change out of your bulky hiking boots - my other TNF hiking boots are like that). I even wear them to workout indoors now and love the added support.

Craftsmanship below expectation

The shoes arrived fast, that was a plus. But the problem is with the craftsmanship of the "tongue" of the shoes. With this design, both sides of the "tongue" are connected with the upper body of the shoe for better protection of the feet; the idea is a great one. But that creates challenges for manufacturing because it creates a fold of material so that the "tongue" can be lifted up when one puts in one's foot or takes it out. That's where the problem lies. I ordered two sizes just in case the style requires adjustment in sizing. Out of the four shoes, three had bulging folds of the tongue; they look ugly. Only one shoe has a clean fold that doesn't bulge. I just returned both pairs. I am not sure if I should still order the right sized pair, because I worry that with a 75% defect rate, I don't have much confidence on the next pair. I am very sad. Several months ago, I ordered the boots WOMEN'S ULTRA FASTPACK IV MID FUTURELIGHT, and they are the best boots I have ever had. I wrote a review of it after two weeks of purchase because I was very happy with the boots. Now that I've worn them several months through much more hiking in all weather, including heavy rain for an hour and a half with the boots getting wet, I can't be happier. And the boots came with GREAT craftsmanship, and they look very stylish. So I decided to buy this companion sneakers for the summer months and I must way I was shocked by the poor craftsmanship; it is beneath North Face brand name, really. I'm not going to complain too much, as I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the pandemic that makes working conditions difficult. I think I'll just wait a bit and see if I'll order another pair of the same design or a different design from North face.
