The sizing for these shoes is spot-on and consistent with general athletic shoe sizing. For context, I wear a size 6 in Nike and a 5.5 in Adidas. I purchased both a size 6 and a size 6.5 in this particular shoe. While both sizes fit well and didn't feel uncomfortable, I decided to keep the size 6 as it was the perfect fit. The shoes are comfortable right out of the box and required absolutely no break-in period, which is fantastic. I loved them so much that I immediately purchased a second pair for my mom. Since her feet are slightly wider than mine, I sized up for her and got the 6.5.

Not so good
I purchased these shoes March 18 online. From the reviews I thought it would be great for my plantar fasciitis. Well first day I wore them on a hike in Sedona (3-4 miles) and when I got back to my vehicle my plantar fasciitis was killing me for days. The second day I wore them on April 20 to Salt River, just a few minute walk to the water, the metal on the back of the shoe had rub a sore on my heel. I spent a lot of money on these shoes to not work for me and probably too late to return them to the store. Money went down the drain.

Good all around shoe for daily garden ware and hiking. Wide toe area. Order half size larger than you would usually due to the waterproofing added.
