These shoes were promising at the first sight. When I got them, shoes size 9.5 were small/tight. So, you need to order half size larger than normal. REI was great sending another pair. But, the problem is in the design of the sole... The heel has a pretty large tail and significantly higher than the front part, so the pressure is on the front. But, the feeling on the front of the shoe is like you step on the plywood. Hard and no shape, very uncomfortable for longer walks on the pavement (these are sold as city shoes). It is a bit less noticeable on the grass or trail. I would say that issues (1) shoe designer did not think about the comfort, (2) that QA did not try to walk in those shoes. They should add some shape and a soft layer on top of the insole. So, with all good intentions, I would not recommend these shoes.
This shoes feel great but the soles will not last. It is molded foam. Atypical for keen shoes. For the price, $100 on sale, not worth the investment. I ended up returning them.
The shoes are amazing! RIght out of the box the leather feels super soft and doesn't require any break in time. Soles have great traction and they really cut the heel. Only reason I give them a 4/5 is because the tongue of the shoe gets messed up everytime you put the shoe on. Only complaint.
I have were for almost a month and the shoes looks like a is been used for longer time
These look nice and are comfortable (once you finally get them on). They’re just too hard to get on and off due to the flimsy leather tongue and sides.
Good looking, instantly comfortable shoes. Keen quality evident. Just runs small to size.
comfy and fit I expect from Keen, I use them as a casual shoe, but usually where their sandals or low hikers, wore them all summer no problem, that extended heal is not the most comfortable on long drives and I never really get them real wet. Got a lot of compliments on them. Liked them so much I bought a spare pair.
With any hiking/walking shoe I order 1/2 size up fit is perfect, ready to go out of the box. Cant beat the discounted price thinking about ordering a second pair. Have a great day!
love these - very comfortable - nice look - dont get wet in light rain( live in Wahington) easy on easy off no laces to tie
NO arch support!! The leather around and on top is nice and soft BUT the sole is super thin so end being a very painful day wearing them at work standing and walking all day. Need to spend more money for insert. Be ready to have insert ready if want to keep this shoe otherwise this will be one of your most painful experience with a shoe.
