I purchased these in-person at REI. I have 7 other pairs of Keens, and have owned many prior to those. I tried these on on the showroom floor, admittedly in a bit of a hurry. Wanted a light trail shoe for long hikes but not backpacking. Figured, "they're Keens, they've got to work for me." So WRONG. Heel cup is entirely too shallow, and the cuff around the ankle is like some sort of torture device. It abraded the fronts of my ankles from 10min in to a 8mi round trip hike. If I could load the pic my wife took of my ankles, I would, but she has it on her phone. I have never been more DISAPPOINTED in a brand that I have already spent tons of money on previously. Luckily, the one hike didn't really kill me, and the shoes were accepted cheerfully by REI when I returned them after our trip. Definitely will be contacting Keen directly about this abysmal offering in the light hiker / trail shoe category.
fit was large esp toe box otherwise ok not as cushioned as I like
