Fine Jacket - Runs Large

I'm 6'8" and 235lbs and am swimming in the XXL. Sleeves are super long and baggy. Wish it had a way to cinch the waist and cuffs.

Nice Winter Jacket!

My teenage son is wearing this nice Mountain Hardwear down jacket. I have a different MH down winter jacket that I really like, so I got this one for my son. And yes, it is nice! The hood is legit and the coat really keeps my son warm on these cold winter days. It even looks pretty good. It doesn't pack down small, but that's perfectly fine. We didn't buy it for backpacking; we got it to be worn as a regular winter jacket. And it performs well for that!

Very nice jacket

Very nice quality jacket and well-insulating. I've worn it comfortably down to single-digits and even below zero recently with only lightweight wool baselayer and tshirt. My shirt size is normally XXL with a huge belly, but this jacket fit me perfectly at XL. Shoulder and neck insulation seems lacking a bit as I always feel the cold on the shoulder below back of the neck. It could use improvements in the zipper for when wearing thick gloves. Zipper flap buttons could beefed up. They feel like they're going to rip off with how delicate they feel. Elastics at the cuffs and waist would seal up the heat and make this the best all-around sub-freezing jacket. I would not wear it for strenuous back country activities though or even go sledding in it. The shell material seems thin and not hold up to brushing up against trees and stuff. They feel like they will snag & tear easily. Otherwise more than happy with this jacket.

Great low key jacket!

Great fit, I like that it’s not too short in the length. Nice and warm puffer, dig the ultra discreet branding. I thought there was no logo from the photos but the stitching just matches the color perfectly:) Very nice jacket when you want to look nice and be warm without be too flashy!

ZIPPER

I live in a cold-weather location and the Jacket is perfect for keeping both active and warm. Only suggestion is to install a heavier gager"Zipper" in the manufacturing process. When it is cold, dark and windy engaging the 'smallish' zipper can be challenging.
