I recently bought these and they do alright with a little modification. had to bend one of the front legs around my disc brake so I did not interfere with operation. rear frame mount bolt too long for rear fork hole on citi 1.1

Does Not Work on Newer Trek Bikes

Bontrager is owned by Trek bikes, they are the same company. Bontrager makes accessories for Trek bikes yet their 2021/2022 Trek dual sport bikes (1,2,3 and 4 models) and possibly other Trek models WON'T work with their own fenders. It requires 2 L brackets for the front fenders while the rear bolt is too long to hold the rear fender in place. They also do not have any of these required pieces when you call their customer support. These fenders do not "install in minutes" as they advertise, you have to remove the rear tire to screw in one of the bolts then have to track down a bike shop that might be able to help you.

Excellent fenders

Call me picky, but I’ve had a terrible time finding full-coverage fenders for larger tires that I can be happy with. They tend to be expensive, difficult to mount, fiddly to dial in, and noisy to ride with. These fenders defy all of those norms in my opinion! These are a reasonable price, easy to mount, even easier to adjust, and ride quieter than any SKS or planet bike fenders I have tried. (How SKS remains an industry leader is beyond me.) Can’t recommend enough. Don’t waste your time with other fenders for tires this size. My Jamis Coda S2 has been difficult to fit with full fenders and these fit like a dream.

A decent fender with some issues

I found the fenders to be a bit difficult to fit to the bike but this could be due to clearances on the bike and not the fender. I recently completed riding the Katy trail and the fenders performed about as expected, preventing small gravels from slinging up onto the bike. With the fenders being hard plastic, some gravel would travel up between the tire and fender, making a loud racket until it was ejected. The plastic is pretty brittle and easily breaks if the mounting hardware is overtourqued or not completely aligned when installing. I ended up breaking both the front and rear fenders around the mounting points when installing but was able to repair using JB Weld.

Poor quality - second set and they failed again

I own a 2016 Trek Domane and bought a set of these fenders for the bike in November. It's now February and the rear one just cracked into two pieces at the connection point where the rear rods are riveted to the fender. This is the second set that I've owned and the rear fender has failed on both sets. Will not purchase again.

Great fenders.

I really like these fenders. They are easy to install (and much easier than some other brands) and very easy to readjust as needed. I think they are well made and include all of the necessary hardware to install (though in some instances some spacers might be required). I have an older pair of these fenders on another bike that have held up without any issues for 4 years of near daily commuting. I highly recommend these fenders! The one weakness - is the piece that attaches to the small cross member across the seat stays is a little whimpy. My older set had a metal bracket that was more durable. Instead I drilled two holes and used a zip tie to attach the fender.

Terrible installation instructions

Terrible instructions and had to separately order extra front brackets for a Trek Dual but that’s not evident until installation. And the rear installation has confusing illustrations as well. I’m sure they’ll be good for water resistance but the installation process was frustrating enough that I’d not order these again.

Great purchase!

I bought these fenders on a whim. An impulse buy. I had read some bad reviews about them but find they are a great product. They were easy to install and adjust. Over 1,000 miles on them and they are extremely quiet. No rattling or creaks. The price was also another great feature.

Cheap Mounting Hardware

One of the bolt heads broke off in my frame while mounting to the fork and is now stuck. Additionally, this does not include everything needed to mount the fenders, they must be purchased separately.

Fenders

Bought these fenders for my ADV 1.1. The fact that there is only one stay on the front made for an easier install. They are also reasonably priced.
