Stay clean and dry!
Are you tired of being spewed with mud and gravel slush in the spring? Then these fenders are for you! They fit my bike very nicely even with wide (45) tires. The Velcro and rubber straps seem a bit fussy initially but they make installation a breeze after the first time. Having easily removable fenders is a huge plus when the conditions are always changing. I hardly notice the additional weight and because my bike is black, I hardly see them. Game changer in keeping me and my bike cleaner!
Noisy, fiddly install, lacks coverage,
These just don't meet the mark for me... They are reasonably well made (if not a bit wobbly like most cheap plastic style fenders), and there are a few issues to be aware of. First, the extension piece for the rear is not included, which I just misunderstood I guess, so that's on me. But these are a bit fiddly to get installed, tbh, and they are are noisy, no matter how tight I fasten the various straps. They also do not give any coverage to the opening under the headset, which is a common spot for crud buildup. The front struts aren't ideally positioned due to the brake calipers, so it's a bit of a compromise when installing. Similarly for the rear, the brake caliper will influences where you can position the struts. This is not SKS's fault, but it does create a less than ideal mounting imo. Re the "XL" rating - I'm running 45m tires, and they barely provide enough coverage - the 52m spec is highly suspect, imo. Overall, not really pleased with these and will likely remove them. I checked SKS's return policy, which is essentially once opened/mounted they are not returnable, which is a pretty terrible policy - you won't know of any of these types of issues until you actually install the product. Normally an SKS fan in the past, but I'll likely avoid this company in the future due to this policy.
