Great fenders to keep off water/mud from face
Tanguero

There are several things I like about the fenders and a few issues but no showstoppers. First, the fender does a fantastic job of keeping water/mud and debris out of face and off my glasses. The length of the fender in the front of the fork and the trailing length are perfect for my mountain bike running with Fox 34 front shocks (29" tires). The mounting is creative utilizing the hole in the front fork and the fender is easily removable. It's stable as well (I've put 50 miles on then in the rain). I think they are far superior to the zip lock mud guards (don't even bother) as they tend to be short and they are a pain if you want to put them on and off on occasion. They are better than the Scott's that attach to the brakes via screws because the Scott has no front protection and small rear protection. I was a little concerned in that the fender is further away from the tire than other fenders, but it turned out to be a non-issue. One issue is that the instructions are lacking and even confusing and made worse by the youtube videos. Basically you are putting an expansion bolt in your fork and it's unclear how hard one should tighten it. Some YT vids warn against over tightening. I suggest you tighten the bolt without putting in in the fork just so you become familiar with how the thing works and how much tightening you might need. This helped me and mitigated fears of over tightening. Lastly, REI doesn't do special orders unfortunately and I really wanted the fenders to match my pedals (why not?). And since SKS offers lots of colors, it'd be nice.

Doesn't do the job

This fender is positioned too far from the tire and doesn't block mud or water from soaking your feet and lower legs. With that being said, it does block mud and water from your face, but again, it's too far from the tire.

Mountain bike fender gets the job done, nicely.

I bought this fender to replace the previous one. The instructions & diagrams were very clear and easily understood. Installation was very easy and logical. I've had this on my mountain bike - 26-inch wheels - and it stayed on during some smooth & bumpy riding. I'll have to take this out through some puddles and/or muddy terrain, for fun, and to more thoroughly test it. :-) This fender also looks good. The price at REI was very reasonable, too. I just think this seems to be a very smartly-designed product. More rides, over smooth and rough ways, will give me a better idea of just how good & durable it really is. Yes, so far, I'd recommend this to a friend.

Great fender for keeping muck on the trail

Love it. Keeps the muck out of my face, and you hardly notice it is there. Assembly was easy, and I like how I can easily remove just the fender portion when its not needed. You can remove the fender without having to remove all the main mounting hardware. If you are expecting your feet and legs to stay mud free for a commuter bike, it will not happen with this fender. You would need to find a set of full coverage fenders.

Fits older Cannondale perfectly

Installed on my older Cannondale with regular fork perfectly. Instructions were hard to follow. Just had to work with the parts until things came out right. The fork adapters need to be cut apart at which time you need to file down the resulting edge or it will bind in the fork tube. Would have been better if they had separated these parts. To install or remove the fender (once adapters are installed) you do not need to remove the wheel; just open up the brakes. Fender is so light weight you do not notice it at all. I'm ready for the rain!

Nice protection. Not the most durable.

It works well but I am on my third one as they have snapped. I honestly haven't found a better solution for mountain bikes. The shock board is weak in the transition spot from the front part of the fender and the rear.

For me. Pretty easy to install. About 50 miles of sometimes wet gravel roads and not one splatter on my glasses. :)
