Sweet Spot Achieved
I've been long searching for a warm-weather shirt, with long sleeves, that will be (1) super light; (2) comfortable on the skin; (3) easy to put on & take off; and (4) doesn't smell. Each product i've tested - including Arcteryx's and other Patagonia products - failed in one (or more) of those categories. Enter this "Cool Lightweight L/S." Bingo. I wore it on my motorcycle (under a protective armor) - a breeze. I ran with it - a joy. I wore it for long hours - no stink. This is the one.The real deal. Kudos Patagonia! Just looking now for more on sale... (good luck with that!).
The Capilene Daily LS, but thinner and tighter
Like the title says, this is basically a trimmed down version of the Capilene Daily LS. Fit: Slighly tight around the upper arms and forearms, and trim in the midsection. The fabric does stretch a little, which is nice for my 180lb 5'9" body. This isn't super tight, but you'll notice the trimmed-down sizing. I purchased a Size M. Feel: Very very airy. I would recommend this if you're out in 85+ weather, and if you're willing to wear sunscreen. This was dries even faster than the normal Capilene Daily LS. Also, kinda funny how you're paying more for less material.
Great Shirt
If descripting is what I were to set out to do, “great and amazing shirt” is how I would do it. It’s a really comfortable shirt, especially when it’s hot and sunny out but you still want protection. It’s easy to clean and holds up well. It’s just as much at home as a pajama and lazy day shirt as it is being a tackle the day shirt. I wish they still had the sky blue option, however that doesn’t take away from the shirt itself. Just a jam up piece of gear capable of being comfortable and a pleasure to wear anytime.
Fits small
I always wear shirts in size medium, have for years, and I own a number of Patagonia shirts, so I am familiar with the brand. The size medium in this item fits me almost like a size small. The sleeves feel too short, and upon reaching my arm up above my head that side of the shirt pulls up, lifting the hem significantly up above my waist. I had to return it.
LIGHT BUT DELICATE
I got one of these because I wanted the lightest weight, long sleeve shirt I could find. That it is, but it already has some loose threads in the elbow and have only worn it a few times.
Super lightweight
This will be perfect as a sleep shirt while backpacking. The size Large weighs 3.32 ounces with the tags cut off.
good all year round
It’s one top I never put away. It’s pretty versatile but it’s not tough as nails. .............................................................................
My Favorite
I'm 6' 190# and wear a large. Have 8 Capilene Cool Lightweights short sleeve and long, love them. Feels like your not wearing anything.
VERY Delicate
I bought a few of these last summer to use while running in the sun. I have only worn the a few times since I bought them. One has developed a large run in the sleeve and the other one has the collar detaching from the rest of the shirt. I love the feel and the light weight if these but they are not Ade to last.
More of a Layer
I bought this shirt and like it a lot. It is super thin though, so I wouldn’t wear it outside of my house other than as a layer. It’s even a bit see through (which, if I were a woman, I might want to know!).
