Good Texture and Flavor, but the raisins...
I'll provide an honest review of this product while keeping my personal dislike for raisins in mind. The package is notably sizeable, boasting two servings. The texture strikes a pleasant balance between crunchiness and softness, further enhanced by the delightful addition of sesame and sunflower seeds. Additionally, the inclusion of dried apricots lends a fruity variety to the mix, complemented by a genuine honey flavor. However, I'm disappointed to find that the absence of chocolate—both in taste and appearance—falls short of expectations, which might disappoint chocolate enthusiasts. There's a faint presence of peanut butter flavor, though it's subtle. Regrettably, the dominance of raisins diminishes the overall experience, overshadowing the potential enjoyment of the other components. In summary, while the product offers an enjoyable texture and a diverse range of flavors, the lack of prominent chocolate presence and the overpowering nature of raisins affect its overall appeal. This might be a fantastic choice for raisin enthusiasts, but those seeking a stronger chocolate influence might be left wanting.
Great Bar
A moderate 5 miles in a 12 plus hour nursing shift, I packed 2 of these with me. Fantastic idea. Normally I want a variation, especially with the bars, but these bars are so tasty and have a very unprocessed texture that I wanted another. Great amount of energy and satisfaction. The Chocolate Peanut Butter in particular is my favorite. Blends savory and sweet together really well. I am planning on taking these on my next backpacking trip and probably only taking Kate's Real Food for bars. I feel like they live up to their name and having shared them now with coworkers I know that I wasn't just hungry but that they are really good tasting.
Kate’s Real Food Bar Review
Kate’s Real Food Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate Bar is a great organic bar option if you are looking for a snack between meals, during an activity or as a recovery option. I enjoyed that it not only is all organic, but it also contains Real ingredients! Kate’s real food bar is not only filling it it’s delicious. I loved that you could actually taste the added touches of raisins and apricots. I used it after a 3 mile sprint track workout as recovery and as a mid hike snack on a 6 mile day hike. It held up great to heat, and I must say felt satisfied after eating it on both occasions. My only complaint if I have to be picky is I wish it had more than 6g of protein per bar, so this is not a great source of protein replacement if you’re looking for that. I can say I will definitely be throwing these in my everyday lunch box and for my day hikes and backpacking trips as it is a nice treat during a long day out in the sun.
Yummy and Utilitarian
I'm reliant on energy bars for multiple scenarios ranging from just needing something to snack on at work to calories to get me through day 5 of a backpacking trip. I debate with friends about the merits of all our options. Kate's Real Food PB is now one of my favorites. It's delicious and has -- as advertised and as far as my mouth can tell -- real food in it. If I could take the time to make my own energy bar, this is what I'd create. I don't care too much about organic, GMOs, or other features outside of how it tastes and how it gets used, but I appreciate that these are easy to eat and everything in it seems familiar. The one things that kind of mystifies, me, though: The serving size of these is *half* a bar, and that just seems silly. These are spendier than other alternatives, so maybe this makes you feel better about what you're getting; and, to be fair, the calorie amount is a little bit more than other bars (if you consider the whole thing). Regardless, I'd be happy to carry a handful of these in the backcountry or in my workbag. They're delicious and balanced in what they provide.
Tastes like real food
This bar is rich in flavor without being overly sweet. It actually tastes like the ingredients it contains: oats, peanut butter, honey, chocolate, and fruit. The texture is nice. It’s easy to eat (not too dry or hard to get down like some bars) and it feels good. I mean, I feel good after eating this, like I’ve just eaten something nourishing. This is a good one for me to take along on backcountry trips.
Great texture and flavor
I was pleasantly surprised with this bar. It had a great texture and flavor without being too sweet or dense. I have taken them on hikes, camping and backpacking over the last two weeks. They were the perfect pick me up on both summits and trails.
A Nice Balanced Snack
Great Biking Snack. I like the dark chocolate. Holds up in hotter weather as to melting. Nice compact size to put into a bike pannier or bag. You will consume alittle more water than normal after eating these.
Great Granola Bar!
I’m celiac and finding good snacks for the trail is extremely hard. Either the snack falls apart the second you open the packaging or it requires assembly which is not conducive to being on the go. These bars remind me of a trail mix bar and all of the flavors work really well together. One was filling and I didn’t feel too heavy after. Excited to add these to my snack rotation going forward!
Real food, and real good!
A great granola bar! I ate these throughout an outdoor volleyball tournament in the Rockies. Didn't get sick of them, they weren't too dry or dense, and the size/ingredients were great for a quick snack in the heat.
Very good and hits the spot
I bought these to try them along with other like products, but this one was great. Tasted delicious and fit in my pocket for easy transport. Definitely buy again
