Defective Tubes!
These are Kenda brand tubes, and they fail. I installed two news ones on my bike and inflated to 50 PSI. A couple weeks later, both tires were flat. Both tubes were ripped in the exact same spot near the valve on the rim side. The rims and spokes were fine. There was noticeable bulging near the valves. I bought two more tubes from REI and installed them. Within hours, they popped. One tube ripped again near the valve, rim side, the other tube ripped in a different spot on the rim side. They both showed bulging in other spots too, so if I patched the rips more rips would just happen elsewhere.
Do not buy these tubes until they fix the defects
These tubes fail massively. This one was pumped to 60 PSI, well within then 65 PSI maximum.
dangerous garbage
I have put these tubes on 4 different bikes, and on each bike one of the tubes has failed massively. I keep my bikes in my house, so the failure is not from poorly stored bikes. The tubes always fail at the seam, and their failure is not from improper installation. I'm lucky that none of them have popped while riding. The first one made me think it was a manufacturing fluke, but now that I'm sitting on a 50% failure rate I think it's safe to say that these tubes are not safe. Don't waist your money, and don't gamble with your safety.
Bad tire tube
I bought the first time and it ripped around the valve within 2 weeks. Then, I bought the second time and it leaked within a few days.
Perfect for my mountain bike!
This was so easy to install, and has been working great on my mountain bike! I have a ladies Specialized mountain bike, and it was no problem at all to pop off the old one and place it on. Has been durable so far.
Had leaks
I installed one of these, and a couple of days later, the wire was flat, before I even rode on it. I removed the tube, put it in a tub of water, and found THREE leaks!
New Tube does not leak!
I needed a new tube that would not leak. I installed this one, and so far there are no leaks. It was relatively easy to install on my bike. I am sure this varies.
Defective tubes - Don't Buy
have now had two of these tubes fail. Ridden less than 50 miles for two tubes. One failed at the valve stem and on the other a seam separated. Horrible quality control (or none at all). I guess the moral is you get what you pay for. Submitting this as a second review with my wife's email as REI says this is a duplicate submission; it's not!
Value that goes the distance
Very surprised how well the tubes are holding up. I want to just ride and be confident that I will complete my journey. This product does that. Even for s bicycle that's turning 50 this year. And a fair price at that.
One of the best tubes on the market.
Made in Taiwan, not China so you know it's quality and safe.
