Great Tube from Taiwan: 700 x 28-32
If you are not familiar with Tubes (really any bike products) you want ones made in Taiwan or Germany and no where else. It used to be that most tubes were made in Taiwan, but they are becoming increasingly harder to find as companies like to produce in less expensive countries to profit more and quality suffers. Thank you to REI for keeping quality and staying with Taiwan or else I would not buy them. When you open the box, these tubes are branded "Kenda" of Taiwan. Kenda is an experienced tire manufacture and experienced with rubber products just like Continental--another quality tube. These Co-op tubes sit very well in the bike tire, have a white lining up stripe, and have a high quality valve with a nice green marker. I have been using another set of Co-op tubes from Taiwan in another bike under extreme conditions for 1.5 years and they have been flawless. So in Sum: Excellent bike tube. Get them. Remember: For your safety: You want tubes made in Taiwan or Germany. There are no bike tubes made in the USA which would be another good choice.

better tubes out there for the money
Appears to be a repackaged Kenda tube. Priced about the same as a Bontrager or Continental tubes which are both of higher quality and durability. Perhaps REI would like to consider stocking these instead.

busted on 2nd day

Bought 2 23-25 and 2 35-43. 1 of the 35-43 tubes busted near the value after 1 day riding. Took it back to the store in Fairfax and was told they don't replace tubes. Understandable but wish they made that clear when I bought them so I didn't have to waste a trip. Very disappointing product and service, a rarity based on my experience. TLDR, I won't be buying tubes from REI again.

Frequently Defective Out Of The Box

I purchased two of these—one to replace on my bike, the other just as backup. The first had a visible weak surface defect around the valve and began to bubble at that point around 10psi. I gradually inflated the second and discovered the next day there were at least 3 pinholes around the valve. Just save your time and spend a little more on a better quality tube. I usually love co-op brand products, but these—confirmed by many other reviews—are frequently defective and poor quality.

Defective out of box

I bought this tube as backup for road emergencies a while back. Had my first flat tire in two years. No problem, I'm prepared for this! Changed the tire only to find out that the replacement tube had a big tear about 0.5cm right out of the box and could not be inflated!! The punctured tube did even hold air better than the new one! Absolutely disappointing!!!

Terrible

I had a gift card and bought 4 of these tubes. All 4 went flat within 3 weeks. They all split on the seam couldn’t believe it. I usually ride bontrager tubes and will never use anything else now. I’ve gone over 2 years on a single bontrager tube. However, I’m like a nascar pit crew changing tubes on the side of the road now, thanks REI for that at least!

Was leaking when installed

I installed the tube. When I tried to fill it, it leaked. Turns out it had developed a tear near the valve. It is made by Kenda, which doesn't have a good reputation either for bike or car tires, and in my experience doesn't make quality products. Perhaps I wasn't gentle enough when installing, though I tried to be careful. I am inclined towards thinking that quality control is poor, and the tube is weak exactly where it's subject to tension.

Flawed tube went flat

I installed the tube and it looked fine. The next day the tire was soft. I removed the tube and inflated it. There is a section of the tube about 1/2" wide that seems to be thicker than the rest and it doesn't stretch as much as the rest of the tube when inflating. In that section of thicker tube there were numerous tiny pits in the rubber and that's where air was leaking out. The tube has "Kenda 700x28/32c, low lead" printed on it.

Two tubes immediately failed

Installed an REI brand tube (manufactured by Kenda). Immediately started leaking at area where rubber seals around valve stem. Installed another and immediately ruptured along seam. Apparently terribly poor manufacturing quality standards. Save your time and money and buy a better brand.

Poor Valve Stem Design

The new design of the valve stem is touted to be a better fit for pumps. Actually, the opposite is true. I cannot get the pump coupling to stay on the stem when I try to inflate the tube, it keeps slipping off. Those threads that were removed were what was keeping the coupling on. Bought 3 of these and will be returning them all back to the store.
