easy to use and light weight. I have a 10.2 70M rope (a fatty) and it still rolls up into a sleeping bag sized ball, will definitely slide into any normal sized gear bag. material is lightweight and may not last if yo walk all over it but I haven't owned it long enough to know but th price is low enough i guess it is easily replaceable (this is throw-away capitalism, right?)

Not durable, poor design

The product is lightweight, but with just a single strap it's impossible to really singe the rope down to save space. Also, when tightening the strap, you are pulling the opposite direction of the "roll" which adds to not being able to compact everything. Finally, the strap tore off the tarp without much force. Returning the product.

One glaring defect

This tarp is sturdy and covers a large area, but the latching system folds back on itself when tight. This is because the hook and slot are on the same piece of fabric.. hard to explain but trust me.

Best rope tarp out there

This tarp is really nice. I can roll my 60 meter rope up in it to the size of a compressed sleeping bag. Used other tarp bags and had to always reflake the rope. This always stays organized and super easy to carry.

Small investment for lots of conveniemce

This is such a smart piece of gear...totally wish I'd thought of it! My hubby and I usually climb with our young kids around, so between hiking one child in in a carrier and all the extra toddler gear, space is at a premium in our packs. Tge cord trapper is great for keeping our rope nice and neat without adding bulk like an actual bag would.

perfect way to hold rope

Don’t bother with getting a fancy bag or backpack. This simple tarp is all you need to stow your rope. Easy to clean when it gets dirty and easy to pack when you roll it up

Good tarp

This is a good tarp. It’s been drug over rocks, wooden beams, mud and even glass and it’s held up.

Okay

After one use, there was already a tiny hole where I accidentally stepped over the tarp. There’s no directions given as to how to use the tarp to wrap up your rope, or how to make use of the buckled strap. The pro is that it’s lightweight and it’s easy to rinse in the shower.

its a good tarp

This tarp is perfect for keeping your rope clean at the crag but it is not easy to carry unless you have a pack with tie downs on top. I attach it to the top of my bag with a carabiner and I am good. If not, it makes for an awkward carry. Tarp is also good for long term rope storage
