Mammut  Neon Rope Bag

I purchased this rope bag for a multi week trip to Greece. I am always looking for ways to minimize the amount of extra gear I take and was able to use the functionality of this bag to not only carry my rope, but all of my essential climbing gear alongside it. I was able to fit not only a 70 m rope in the bag but also my climbing shoes, harness, 22 quick draws and a belay device and my chalk bag along with the rope. The handy backpack straps on the bag worked fine for the 20 to 30 minute approaches to the wall.

Not a bad rope bag. I appreciate the tarp and the ability to tie your rope into its thether points for quick set up and pack up, however, I cannot justify 5 stars as the shoulder straps are very thin and not very comfortable to wear. When carrying your rope on longer approaches I do not enjoy using this bag and will often wear it on my chest instead of my back so I can support the weight with my arms and save the skin on top of my shoulders from being rubbed raw. I’d recommend padding the straps or making them thicker.

Great, simple rope bag that does what you expect it to do. Personally, I would love it if it had 1-2 pockets inside and/or outside. For example, something for a water bottle or a small zippered pocket for valuables or similar items.

I like that this bag has straps that let it function as a backpack. There’s plenty of room in the bag as well, so it’s feasible to throw a harness, shoes, and draws in it for quick approaches. The tarp is a good size, too.

It’s basically just as described and as other reviewers said… fits my 70m rope with some room to spare. Could throw in my chalk bag, harness, and shoes and perhaps some draws if i really wanted to. I like it!

Really tough construction. I have a 70m 9.5mm rope and it still provides enough room for shoes, harness, and belay device and quick draws. Great bag for a day of top rope all the way to light multi pitch

Sac à corde super simple, robuste et bien conçu. Bon système de fermeture pour garder la corde bien compacte dans le sac. Bretelle ajustables pour le transport. Pas besoin de plus!

Good bag if you’re just looking to store just your rope. i wish it had a shoulder sling because it’s difficult to carry if you had a backpack on. i ended up switching to the neon 45

Nice color, fits a few different thicknesses of rope with ease. It carries nicely on my back, no rubbing or chafing! Stitches seem solid and the tarp works as intended.

I use this bag for our gym rope. It works great. I like that I can wear it as a packback from house to car and car into gym to free up my hands to carry other things.
