Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pure Luxury This bag could easily replace my actual bed. It is so cozy and snugly. The zippers are super heavy duty and haven't snagged at all. it is thoughtfully designed, with little open pockets in the pad sleeve so you can reach in and help guide the pads into position. There is a hand pocket under the comforter that is very useful and really adds to the "homey" vibe of this sleep system. This is a perfect bag for use as a secondary bed for visiting guests. Ideal for RV usage. My only issue with it is the size. It is obviously not designed to be minimalist. It is a big luxurious bag that is not meant for applications requiring smaller, lighter gear. Even with that in mind, this bag is so big that it's almost unwieldy. It takes a lot of room to get your pads inserted. It doesn't compress very much. Storage space is another consideration. If you have the room and want a home away from home, this is a fantastic bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Snuggley My wife and I bought this for ourselves for our anniversary for use camping & boating. We've only used it once for a weekend in our popup camper, but it was super nice and warm - you didn't want to get out of bed! It feels very thick over the top and wraps around you in all the right places, yet had plenty of room if you wanted your own space to sleep. The cowls around the pillow area is nice, as is the corner pockets for pulling it up close on cold Colorado nights. My only two very minor complaints are that the zipper is hard to access for quick-exits as it's almost underneath you, and, without pads inserted into the sleeves, the 'sheeting' tended to wrinkle-up a bit beneath you. Overall we love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a Big Bag This bag is big! Like super big! To put it into scale using 8x5 pieces of paper it is two pieces of paper wide and two and a half pieces of paper tall when compressed. If you want to take this on a backcountry hiking trip at least one person will need to have this item as the sole item in their bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feels Wonderful But Wish it Wasn't Tapered This sleeping bag has the best feel of any bag I've ever slept in. It has a quilt like construction that really allows you to wrap the cover around you. The interior cotton/polyester fabric is unique and feels much nicer than the nylon-y interior of most sleeping bags. Lots of nice little extras like the pillow sleeve and the top corner hand pockets to pull the cover over and tuck it tight. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that I didn't like the taper of the sleeping compartment at the bottom. The bag has an integrated pad sleeve that allows you to insert (2) 25" pads or (1) 50" pad underneath. The pad sleeve is fully rectangular out to 50" and I wish the bottom of the bag utilized the full width of the pad sleeve as there is extra space at the bottom where the bag tapers and the pad sleeve extends out to 50". I am guessing the taper of the bag is to increase the temperature rating but I felt like we either had to sleep REALLY close together, which is fine for a while, but when you're ready to sack out with a little space I felt sort of like my legs stayed half in, half out. The bag packs down reasonably well for a double bag but it's definitely a car camping bag and not feasible for backpacking. We've used it in temperatures in the mid-40's and slept very toasty.

I have a BA Insulated Air Core Ultra 50"x78" double-wide air-pad, 3.5" thick inflated. Based on published dimensions, it appears this pad would fit into the BA Dream Island 15 pad sleeve. Just wanted to verify my assumptions before I purchase.

This sleeping bag can accommodate one 50 x 78 inch sleeping pad or two 25 x 78 inches sleeping pads.

Can you take this backpacking? Will it fit at bottom of pack?

Asked by: EdWa
This double bag is not a very good option for backpacking. The compressed volume is 55 liters which will take up a significant amount a space in a pack.

Would an Exped Megamat Duo 10 work with the mattress pad sleeve in this sleeping bag?

Asked by: TPSJR
The Exped Megamat Duo is too large for the pad sleeve on this sleeping bag. However, you can still use the pad under the sleeping bag without putting it in the sleeve.
