Big Agnes  Echo Park 20 Sleeping Bag

This Bag is large when stored, however it has provided the most comfort I have experienced by any other bag. The ability to hook into the pad lets you toss and turn all night without worrying about falling off of the pad. The pocked for the pillow to stay in one place is amazing! If you have an inflatable pillow, you know they slide out from the pad frequently, with this bag it physically can't. Overall, the ability to zip almost all of the way down to stick your legs out and control temp is awesome. If you don't mind strapping it to the outside of your bag or really stuffing it into your bag, this is a great bag for you. It is quite large though.

I did a lot of reading and research to find a good 3-season bag I wanted. This one stood out and had all sorts of cool features - namely, a full zipper that goes around the bottom so it can be turned into a quilt in the summer. I unpack it on my first trip with it to find the zipper only goes to the ankle. Pretty disappointed in that, but otherwise the bag kept me warm on a not-so-chilly summer night in Shenandoah national park.

After using this bag on a recent trip in a tent trailer it performed well down to the mid 50s at night. The extra width is nice for those of us who like to spread out a little bit, and the double zipper adds options to open either side. It would be useful for most campers, especially when paired with a mattress. I didnt get to test the cinch feature and the material is quite thin between the sleeping bag and where the mattress would go, which would concern me if I were taking it below its rated temperature.

I've used the Echo Park around a dozen nights now and am so far very happy. It's room and comfortable and one of the few viable options for larger campers. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a good night's sleep while overlanding or car camping. My one complaint is the mandatory fussy attachment to the sleeping pad. The product would be much improved if it were designed like a normal sleeping bag with an insulated bottom. That would make setting it up each night much more convenient.

I use it for motorcycle camping. It ticks most of my boxes. Roomy, warm, easy to use, works with. my sleeping pad. I just wish it would pack down smaller, but I am willing to deal with it considering the price and comfort.

I think that if you are able to fill this bag, it would be great. I bought it because at 6'2" and 270 lb, I figured I fit the description of "big". Not so much here. I have used this bag on several trips. I found it to be comfy. I like the liner over the taffeta ones. My only real complaint is that cold spots develop in areas you don't occupy. Otherwise, it's great. I haven't had it anywhere near 20. I think the coldest I've taken it to is 40. It's not too hot for the low 50s.

I went backpacking with the Echo Park 20 and the Campmeister elux sleeping pad (30x78). Two things to say, COMFORTABLE, and warm. I love this sleeping bag. If there was a magic wand to somehow make it pack down smaller, than sure that'd be fine, but this is a big, roomy, comfortable sleeping bag. So, I'm certainly ok with its packed size. (I place it, rolled up, vertically in my sleeping bag, then push on end down, so it ends up being horizontal inside the bottom of my pack.)

I already have a Diamond Park 0°. I wanted a bag that was a little lighter, and a little easier to keep clean. After seven days of camping with temps only getting down to 28° I had almost all my layers of warming clothes on every night. The lowest this bag should be rated at is 35°. Another difference between my diamond park and the echo park is the sleep pad restraints allow it to move more than the diamond park.

The bag is a little large for packing, but works great for car camping. I combined with a self inflating foam pad, definitely needs an insulated pad, as the bottom is basically a fitted sheet, with the pad attachment and plenty of space inside, it feels like sleeping in my bed at home with a comforter. The dual zippers are a nice touch, you can unzip both sides to have the feel of being covered with a blanket.

I do a lot of moto camping from spring through fall. I love that you can zip it from both sides and use it open like a blanket. I love how it attaches to the sleeping pad, and it doesn't slide off. The bag is very warm and soft. If you're thinking of buying this bag don't hesitate order it you will love it I know I do .
