Fits MSR freelite 2
Fits the msr freelite 2 perfectly. I didn't want to shell out 60 bucks for the msr one since i got the tent on rei outlet for 40% off. But i got this hoping it would fit. I put two of the metal eylets in the 2 pole areas and the other end only has one pole in the center so the other end I used the nylon loops in the stakes and bam...a perfect snug fit and the rain fly covers it all the way around. The footprint is a flush fit with the tent bottom so but the stock size of the msr one is 81x47 and this one is 84x54 but still. I dont see water pooling under the footprint and tent at all.
Perfect footprint
I've found that there's no substitute for the same name brand tent and footprint. This was reasonably priced and the perfect match.
A worthwhile investment
Fits the Camp Dome 2 tent perfectly, and keeps the bottom of the tent clean and dry.
It is what it is
Yup, it's a footprint. Pretty straightforward as to what side needed to be facing down, but it could be a little more clear. Fit under the tent as it should. Make sure it dries out before putting it away.
Good protection for your tent
This footprint was the perfect size for my Co-Op Camp Dome 2. We used this to protect our tent from wet grounds and it worked perfectly, tent floor was completely dry. High recommended.
Too large?
As a footprint it did it's job of protecting the tent floor and a barrier against ground condensation. Downside was it fit rather loosely and would not stay on the pole ends. I ended up staking the footprint down, then placing the tent independently over the top of it.
Straps Too Long
Love the tent but the grommets on the footprint straps didnt seem to match the tent. I had to double check that I bought the right version but seems like other people had a similar issue. Not the end of the world but disappointing based on the price of the footprint and the usually high quality of REI brand gear.
It's well made just a bit loose!
It's well made. But it's not as snug as I'm used to as a foot print. A little rigging got it to protect my tent but hey it keeps bottom of my new tent safe!
Does the job
Took this camping out west, four nights in the Utah desert. Light weight, easy to pack. Even easier to set up. Good product, no complaints.
How does this not fit the tent
It's too big and does not the tent right. It needs to be staked to the ground separate of the tent itself
