Helps lessen wear and tear
The Flash Air 1 footprint is easy to use, not too heavy, and helps to lessen wear and tear on the Flash Air 1 tent. Rocks are the biggest problem that I have when backpacking in Texas, and this footprint provides a nice barrier between the rocks and the tent floor. The footprint is thick enough to prevent tears, and to keep moisture from seeping up into the tent from the ground. While probably not the best thing to do, the footprint can be left attached to the tent for easier setup and take-down.
Great footprint!
I typically use Tyvek sheets to protect my tents, but this footprint may be worth carrying. It is very light and fits the tent well. My favorite part is that it clips to the tent corners. I found it easiest to just leave it attached to the tent and it fits easily in the tent bag. Then there is no messing with the footprint during tent setup. It does come with its own nice little stuff sack. I used that to organize some gear in my pack during my trip. This is a functional, light, seemingly durable footprint!
Not a footprint guy
No really a footprint guy but I have it a try and it was perfect. The bottom of my tend was clean when I got home and the footprint was much more manageable to clean vs a tent. From now on I’m probably going to be a footprint guy.
