Of course, test fit w your sunglasses
Other reviewers experience of "don't fit" and "lasted x days" seem dubious to me. I'm an avid flatwater kayaker and day hiker in the Pacific NW. 1. Don't buy any product without testing fit, in this case to your sunglasses. 2. Chums have lasted me more than a year of hard use. Yes, after a couple years of hard use much of my gear including my Chums for sunglasses and old digital camera have worn out. But I replace my hiking boots just as often. No complaints here.

WARNING: rubber around glasses earpiece fails
This product gets very bad reviews elsewhere. Problem is the Chums holds onto your glasses by a rubber (?) layer inside the outer cover. Without that piece the Chums slides right off of the glasses. Can't hold even very wide earpieces (I have Oakley's...darn wide). Mine lasted than 5 days of wearing.

Great On the Water

I bought this before a day of kayaking to protect an expensive pair of prescription Maui Jim sunglasses. I wanted a retainer that would keep them from sinking if dropped in the water. I bought it in fluorescent yellow so I could easily spot my them in the water. I put them on before I got in the car and, yes, they are annoying with the headrest right behind you, but they aren’t designed for use in the car. They’re designed for use on the water and they do what I need them to do.

Uncomofortable

The straps are thick and stiff, so there’s an uncomfortable thing flopping up and down against the back of your neck. It’s also hard to wear these if you want to wear a hood or have anything behind your head like a backpack. If you really need the buoyancy, this may be a good purchase. But in any other situation, you should use something else.

Slid right off

This didn't work with my glasses at all. I slid these completely over the earpieces of my glasses and at first it felt like it would hold, but during the course of an hour on the late , the retainer slit off and wound up on the bottom of the boat. I suppose if my glasses ear pieces were shapped differently it might have held better, but it didn't work at all on the narrow, smooth plastic earpeices on my glasses.

Not the chums for me.

I bought these because of my tendency to lose sunglasses. When I saw they will float, I thought that was a great feature. However, because they float, they are very stiff, stuck out of my hair oddly, and I could never forget they were there, because you feel them. This is in no way saying they are a poor product, but something a person should be aware of when purchasing. I never tried to see how they functioned if dropped in the water. I’m going back to my old soft cloth chums.

Keeps your glasses on

These kept my eyeglasses snugly on my face whether white water rafting (level 2 & 3) or in the air zip lining.

Float those glasses!

Really helpful for any activity around water, a tad bulky to wear daily, so I would choose another retainer for activities away from water.

Great solution for dropping sunglasses in the lake

Thieve worked great to keep our sunglasses floating when they were accidentally dropped in the lake. The colors are cute too!
