Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyday abuse and still getting the job done. Purchased these for my husband, he has a long work commute and often travels by bike across the SF bay. He goes through many different weather elements on his daily commute with these gloves and I've watched them wear. A while back he left them at home cause they badly need to be washed and I examined them. After 2 years with no major accidents, they were still nicely sewn and the pads were intact. He now has two pairs he alternates from and I have got the same version in women's for myself. They rule.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the reflective tabs I am a Pearl Izumi fan. Never been disappointed. These are a tad warm for the Vegas Valley where I ride. But two things stand out. Padding, my road bike has Sram brifters. These are boxier than Shimanos. Gloves need to have good padding to ride from the brifters. This os the best padding in 2 years of gloves. Second, a reflective tab on both gloves. I ride at night and eant to be seen. These help with that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and very comfortable Got these gloves as a replacement for a pair that I have used for the past 18 months ... they are awesome ... easy on and off ... cool on the heat and give great padding for a long ride. I love the reflective material on the back for more safety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bike Gloves I bought them on my way to do a 340 mile bike tour. Last year I had numbness for several months after a ride/tour. This year I have no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better padding Had another brand of gloves. Bought these for a replacement. They have more padding in the palms and are just as comfortable as previous gloves. I bought them for the padding and am not sorry. They seem to be well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I've got 20 rides with these and they are still holding up. Wiped out once really hard and the gloves did not tear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective design Like the other review stats, the Peral Izumi Elite gloves tear by the thumb after 2 rides. This glove is all new for this year and is total garbage.

Questions & Answers

I am not finding any information that would prove otherwise, but are these gloves considered vegan?

Asked by: thill116
The materials used in these gloves are proprietary to Pearl Izumi. The do not market them as vegan.
