Rated 1 out of 5 by from Durable Schmurable I run with compression shorts because my thighs tend to rub and chafe. I bought these because when I hike and backpack I sweat a bunch causing chafing in places below the belt. I tried the boxers out on a short 4 mile hike in shorts on a 70F day. They felt awesome. When I got home and took 'em off they were falling apart. Thread beaded and the material was worn. I then took them on a 3-day trip and wore them once before switching to a pair of compression shorts because they looked as though they would fall apart if I wore them one more day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst for durablity My hunt for the perfect pair of underwear led me to this product. The in-store advertisement of "six weeks and one pair, maybe two" surely means there's an expectation that you could rely on them for hard usage. When I tried them on, I loved the seam placement in the crotch; it finally solved what irritates me in almost every other pair of underwear. I thought "okay, extremely expensive but worth it". And they stayed comfortable and as cool as I could expect. Until I wore them for ONE DAY and the 9" long legs were almost completely worn through. It was terribly pilled and almost entirely cut through all of the fabric. And that was NOT what I would put them through out on a trail or traveling, just a typical work day. DO NOT BUY. I'll be returning these and only POSSIBLY consider this brand again (for anything else) through REI where I can return such poor merchandise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking underwear yet I'm a female hiker and these are fantastic. These never ride up and are very comfortable and airy. Don't buy any of the female underwear from this brand, all of them just ride up your cheeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best underwear ever I bought a pair of these for a hiking trip. Did 64 miles in 5 days. These performed excellently. They were easy to wash, dried quickly and were very comfortable. They breath great so no swampy areas to worry about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these boxers I have two pairs of these boxers and I am a total advocate. They do an excellent job of keeping me cool and dry, even during high activity and heat. I really like the extra length in the 9" length which adds to comfort and also prevents any chafing during long hikes (I also like wearing them underneath a swim trunks to reduce rash/chafing). I've never had an issue with them riding up or becoming loose around the thighs, even after multiple days of wearing. Advertised to reduce odor, which they successfully do, even after multiple days of use. The best thing is that you can easily rinse them out under a sink and wring them out to dry once you do feel that the time has come. Highly recommend for traveling, especially when trying to keep a light pack. I also enjoy them while swimming or working out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit, Better Breathability I purchased a pair of these believing I'd immediately have buyer's remorse. I'm delighted to say I returned to purchase another pair. They fit better than I expected, breathe better than any base layer I've ever owned, and seem to be pretty durable. I just completed a 6 day camping trip and these two pair held up and still look like new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My husband loves these! My husband would never have spent the price on these (Even when I tried to convince him that sometimes you get what you pay for!). On a recommendation of a friend and REI employee I got him to try them. We have since bought more. They are what he wears now exclusively while hiking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great underwear! I've tried many competing products, including most recently LuluLemmon. Nothing compares to Ex Officio. Comfortable in any setting. Last forever. You pay extra, but my motto is buy it once and buy it right.
