Rated 5 out of 5 by from My best friend! I love this pullover! Im 6'2 220 with long arms and this is the best pullover for, functionality, and quality. I pretty much wear one everyday (or at least have it with me). I only own the black and grey color but I have 3 of each. I have used these in every situation possible. (hiking, cycling, camping, going out, and lounging) and it has never failed to perform. Its keeps me cool and dry when the temp goes up and nice and warm when the temp drops a little. I can wear it with a long sleeve thermal under, a t-shirt, or bare as a base layer. I have tried almost every other pullover on the market (nike, adidas, even lululemon) this is by far better than all of them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Satisfied I cannot find anything wrong with these garments. I have every color offered in this style of shirt. I wear them daily as a base layer in colder weather or in warmer weather as an exterior shirt. I especially like the quarter zip front for ventilation, long sleeves and mock type collar. Talk about wicking moisture. These do the job. I even wore them in Hawaii for skin coverage while fishing off the North Shore. Easy to pack for travel and easy cleaning. Just wash and hang to dry. Ready to wear in less than one hour. This is high tech clothing at it's best and reasonably priced by REI. For size comparison, I am six feet, four inches tall, 200 pounds with a 38 inch waist. Size XXL fits me the way I like, just a tad bit loose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 1/4 zip ever! I bought 2 this past winter and a few other brands. I gave the other brands away as Christmas presents and kept these REI ones for myself. They are super soft! I'm 6' 1" and have ape arms and the arms on this shirt are even a little long but not too much. Perfect in fact. Super stretchy but seem to hold their shape so far. I think they are great looking and cut just right through and through. I've fallen asleep in them many times at home, they're just so comfortable. Not terrible warm on their own but when layered right they rock. This is why I bought 2...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I have several REI tech t shirts that I prefer over similar Arc Teryx (much pricier) shirts so I decided to give these a chance. I am glad I did as they work great. I went mountain biking and then worked out at the gym for an hour on the elliptical. The temperature for my ride was 55 degrees and these worked well although they are very thin. Any colder and a base t shirt would be advised. At the gym my shirt was wet after an hour but only the outside was really wet which was great. It does a great job of taking the moisture away from your body. Highly recommended.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Really Long Sleeves I would have liked to keep this top for spring/fall running and hiking, but the sleeves are SO long. They hide almost my entire hand when fully pulled down to the end of my pinky finger. The alternative is have about six extra inches of material sloppily and annoyingly bunched up around my wrists--note that this is happening to some of the models in REI's product photos. I guarantee this will be your situation as well unless you have arms like an orangutan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stretchy and really groovy. I bought 3 of these tops for mountain running. About ten years ago I bought a bunch of this type of REI tops and they've been outstanding in heat and cold. These are much more stretchy but are more noticeable in heat. that's where the zipper is ideal. The older ones I'm still using came in only 3 colors, black, white and green. I'm so glad there's now lots of COLORS!! This is a great top on its own with outstanding heat retention, and also a great layer under a waterproof jacket. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE the length of the sleeves. I'm taller than average and usually need to buy an XL so that the sleeves are long enough. I was apprehensive about buying a Large but it's a perfect fit for someone who's 6' 5" and 190 lbs. The material is incredibly soft. It's a new favorite layer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit for tall, thin women! I'm 5'9" and 125 lbs, and I constantly have trouble finding clothing that is long enough in the sleeves and torso but not baggy. I tried on the Women's version of this (and many other) tech shirts, without success. The Men's shirt fits perfectly. I have the Small and I absolutely love it. Will wait for it to go on sale to buy it in more colors!

would this be a good substitute to lighten up a pack weight instead of bringing the co op quarter zip fleece as well?

Asked by: TheLoneWolf
The Quarter-Zip Tech Shirt is lightweight so it is great for backpacking, but it does not provide much warmth since it is so lightweight. You may want to consider packing a fleece or jacket for insulation while backpacking.

I am 5'7", 225# and muscular. I feel I need an XXL to fit thru the chest and shoulders but concerns from other comments it would be to long in the sleeves and overall length. What do you think?

Asked by: jacob4301
The Quarter-Zip Tech Shirt will probably be too long in the sleeves and length for you.

I usually have to purchase a 3xl to get the length I need.  The size chart shows that this runs big.  Does it run long, too?  Thanks!

Asked by: Northsloper
The XXXL back length is 34 inches.

By any chance does REI offer crew neck long sleeve and short sleeves in this same exact material? I love it.

Asked by: JoshNY
Unfortunately, at this time we do not have a 90% polyester 10% spandex crew neck long or short sleeve shirt. We do have a long sleeve and short sleeve crew neck that is 100% polyester, you can locate these two items below: https://www.rei.com/product/881428/rei-co-op-tech-t-shirt-mens https://www.rei.com/product/881327/rei-co-op-long-sleeve-tech-t-shirt-mens
