So cute!
I almost didnt order this skirt because I wasnt sure about it, but it is so comfy, Im planning on wearing it over leggings to the gym and everyday lol.... I am 5'5 and a fit 175lbs, size large fits perfect. I would not be able to size up or down.
Perfect bun warmer!
I bought this skirt to wear to and from barre/gym classes. Works great as a laying piece to take you from gym to coffee/ grocery store and around town without needing a long down jacket. I tried on many brands, and this was by far the most flattering. It is thinner than most which provides a slimmer profile. I am 5'-9" and 145 pounds and a consistent size 8/M. The medium fit well but I would say that it fits like a 6-8 so a little on the small side for a medium. It is sized just like the photo on me, and is a cute mini skirt length. Super cute with leggings and winter boots!
Nice "go-to" piece for me
Cute and cozy, great over my ever-present yoga leggings and boots! It hits me mid-thigh, not as mini as REI pic. Runs a little small. I am 5'3", 130 lbs, curvy and usually wear a size 6 or small. I bought size medium based on reviews elsewhere and it fits well over a layer. Like it better than PhD skirt which is bulkier due to snap closures and elastic on back of waist. I am a youthful, fit 55 and think this skirt is a winner.
Love that it completely zips off
I bought this skirt to wear over my soft shell pants when snowshoeing, because my bum sometimes gets cold in extreme conditions. I bought a size Medium (expecting to be able to wear this skirt over a baselayer AND soft shell layer) and I usually wear size 4's and 6's in pants. I love that this skirt completely zips on and off, because it makes it really easy to put on and take off throughout a snowshoe trek, without taking off my boots and snowshoes. Plus, the zipper going two ways makes it easy to unzip partially from the bottom, for ease of movement (for example, I unzip it partially when going uphill to allow more mobility in the legs). Love this skirt!
Bit tight
I’m a size 16 and the XL barely fits - it’s fine on the waist but super tight in the hips to the point where I can’t wear it until I go down a size. So if you are a definite 16 with wide hips the XL won’t fit. That being said the skirt is SUPER cute, perfect for over leggings/yoga pants/wool tights, and I love that it has a double zipper! Even just trying it on it was nice and warm - and will be flattering on a size 14. Looking forward to wearing it this winter once I’ve lost some weight (it’s cute enough to motivate me to exercise more!)
Great Skirt
I really like this skirt. I am 5ft 4in and had a hard time finding a skirt that wasn't too short or too long, this fit just right! It is warm and lined with fleece but doesn't look bulky. I would definitely recommend this skirt or even buy it in a different color.
Darling...if it fit right
This sticks out considerably in my hips. It would otherwise be so cute to wear over leggings in the winter! Good material...not so great construction.
Such a disappointment
I was excited for this skirt because there aren't many short, insulated, zippered skirts out there on the market. Unfortunately this one was a disappointment: 1. Although this skirt is soft, it's not as warm as I thought it would be. It'd be fine for indoors but it would do little to keep me warm in the Maine outdoors. 2. The fit is terrible for me: I'm 5'7" 120 lbs. (athletic and not curvey). The shape of this skirt makes me look like I have wide hips even though I have NO hips. I orderd a small (my typical size) and it was too big. It's not worth going down a size because of everything else I dislike. 3. The waistband has no stretch, which doesn't work for me since sometimes I want to be able to wear the skirt over light-weight leggings and sometimes I want to wear it over nordic ski pants. 4. There's a little pocket that can hold a fair amount of stuff but you can only fit two fingers into it, so it's hard to retrieve anything from it. It's definitely not big enough for a phone. 5. The best thing about the skirt is the construction...the fabric is nice and it's put together well (hence the 2-star rating instead of a 1-star rating). But that isn't enough for me to keep it.
Game changer!
This skirt is a game changer. I teach yoga and I am also licensed to explore and play in the mountains. I wear this skirt over baslayers and yoga leggings. It really does keep me so much warmer. It's a really easy way to jazz up what would normally look like a gym / baslayer outfit. I love it! The only down fall for me is that the two way zipper sometimes opens up. It's easy to zip back into place but I'd prefer it without zips.
Cute bum warmer
This skirt does a very good job of keeping your butt warm. It is slim enough that it doesn't look puffy or strange. The zip makes it easy on off. I wear it with fleece leggings when it's very cold out. My only dislike about it is that it makes that nylony crackly noise when you move around in it. It is essentially a small coat for your hip area.
