I am size 6 in the waist for skirts. I didn’t know what size to pick since the small is for people that fit sizes between 4-6. The small arrived and it fit weird. It was so short!! It hardly covered my butt. So, I reordered Medium that fits 8-10 sizes. Size 10 would be too big for me. While the size Medium feels too big at the waist, it is the perfect length. The good thing is you can pull the string to make the skirt feel tighter around your waist. So even though I didn’t get the perfect fit, I can adjust the waist and have Medium to work well for me. If you are between sizes, I recommend go up a size in this style.

I love this skirt! Her primary purpose is to wear over leggings when camping or if we just finished a hike or something and I need to run to the store or really quick, I throw it on over my leggings, The skirt was on sale, and based on reviews I was undecided about what size I should get. I am a solid size 8 in most everything, but if the item runs small, sometimes a 10 is more comfortable. With that being said, I ordered the Medium (which is what I normally would have ordered), and a large, just in case, based not eh reviews I read. The Medium was perfect and the Large was way too big! Go with what your usual size is. Trust your gut. You're gonna love it! PS There's a bonus phone pocket too.

I usually wear a medium, but ordered a large, based on the waist measurements...it was too big so I returned it and purchased a medium. I love this skirt! It is nice and roomy for easy movement and warm! I wear this and similar skirts over stretch pants and it is my go-to outfit for camping, and wearing around the house in the winter.

This is my favorite insulated skirt of all mine - the shape and fit are most flattering. Not to puffy, not to wide, no weird scalloped shape. I DO wish there was a side zipper. This is really hard to get on and off - the waist band should be more elastic. I would own 5 of these if that waistband was redesigned.

I love this skirt as it provides extra warmth on the way to games, but especially after sweating for two hours and driving home in the frigid cold temperatures. I am in my late 50's and have gotten so many compliments from my friends. I usually wear red hiking boots or duck boots with my leggings and skirt, and it is a really cute and slimming look. I love the fact that the pockets are big enough to hold my droid cell phone. There is a tie in the front inside that you can pull to fit better if you need to, but the skirt fits just fine for me without using it. #Sweepstakes

Perfect fit: I typically wear a size 6 and the medium is just right. I do not like tight waistbands and this one is very comfortable. Lightweight but warm -- just what I wanted for keeping my backside warm while hiking this winter. Some reviewers wished it had a zipper but I found it slipped on easily. Great for town or trail or lounging at home.

I could give this the fifth star if sizing was a little better. I'm an XS in the Smartwool dresses, and fluctuate between XS/S in their tops. I'm a S in their base layer pants. I ordered XS and S in this skirt for sizing. The XS fit my waist perfectly but was way too short, and I had to get it on over my shoulders and then pull it down because it doesn't have enough stretch to go over my hips. However, once it was on, the waist fit great. The S is loose in the waist but the length is perfect. The drawstring helps, so I returned the XS and kept the Small, but even with the drawstring I think I need to find a tailor and get it taken in. Otherwise, great skirt.

This is a great quick layering piece. I'd say it easily makes me feel 10 degrees warmer just by insulating that core heat next to my body. It looks stylish over leggings rather than looking like I'm running around in longjohn bottoms. The pockets are useful and can fit a large iPhone, and there is an adjustable drawstring waist. I do make use of that. I normally am a size medium but sized up to large to have ample room and need to tighten the waist a bit. I probably could have stayed at medium because the side pocket panels have some stretch, but I feel like I have more room and flexibility with the large for activity and bending over without being ""flashy"".

The waist part is big but it’s hard to put it on. The material isn’t stretchable much..

It really makes a difference to slip on this skirt over tights - it's nice and cosy with the wind but not too hot - looks cute too. I had to size down. I'm 5'10' 160 lb and wear a 29 or 30 in denim. I usually wear a L in bottoms. I ordered the L first and returned for the M. I love all the colours but the black seemed most practical for an item I don't wear every single day - I'd try more colours if I wore it more often. It works great for running and I Love the pocket for my phone. Being as I'm tall, the skirt is quite abbreviated on me - like just below the top of my thighs abbreviated. An extra inch would not be a bad thing but it works well and I'm wearing tights anyway.
