Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned because they kept rotating on the bars I was looking for grips that would let me rest my hands on longer mtb rides, as I have issues with hand numbness. The issue I had with these grips is that they would never stay put on the bar - they kept rotating and coming loose. The issue seems to be that the end of the grip is tapered on the inside, and the clamp to tighten the grip is on the outside of the grip. This pulls the grip away from the end of the bar and causes the issue that I experienced. The solution would be to have the clamp at the inside of the grip, near the brake/shifter. The replacement grips that I bought (Ergonomic GE1) have the clamp on the inside portion of the grip, so no such issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth getting, great feel My wife and I just have beach cruiser but ride 8-20 each evening. I have trouble with the grips that came standard always slipping. My Electra is a 3 speed so one grip needs to be shorter than the other and I had trouble finding a good set of grips that worked well in this situation. I found these awesome grips at REI, brought them home and was able to shorten the right grip up very easily and installation was a snap. Needless to say I couldn't be happier with my decision to the Ergon GP1 and with my large hands it make the ride much more comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts down on sleepy hands. Got a gift card for my birthday and picked these up. Been training for pelotonia and my hands fell asleep after about an hour. With these they only get slight sleepiness after two hours and a few shakes wake back up. Very comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy This is my second pair. The first pair lasted me about five years. I ride hard and I ride a lot, leaning forward, with my seat adjusted high. My ergonomics is more like a road bike, putting weight onto my hands. After about five seasons, the grippy texture had worn off, and I started to feel the stickiness of the deteriorating gel material. Just bought my second pair about a week ago. Well worth the price, considering the comfort provided. Sizing is nice, too. I bought size SM this time vs M last time. Small is more comfortable for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tustin Bicycle Department is Awesome I just want to say that I had excellent service from the bicycle shop team and the REI associate that helped me. The associate took the time to get to know my riding style my position on the bike and determined the best possible solution for the issue I was having (comfort). I left very pleased with how I was treated as a customer and impressed with the knowledge and experience of associate. Keep up the excellent work. I am a customer that will keep coming back for my biking and other outdoor needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very stable grip The installation was super simple. I was removing my old grips as part of a new shifter install, so the timing was great to swap over to these grips. The end clamp really does a great job of holding these in place and the simple end cap gives a good finished look. The added comfort while riding is the biggest benefit. I do not like to wear riding gloves, and these grips make riding more comfortable than the thin stock type of grips that come on many bikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reduces numbness in hands. I have only been out twice since I bought these grips because of the weather but so far they are helping. Because of the larger surface area for your palms and setting the angle of the grips it reduces the angle and increases the blood flow to the hands so that so far my hands haven't gone numb. They are a bit pricey for grips, but if they allow me to ride farther and be more comfortable they are worth every penny.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Grip When It Stays On This is a good grip, it really is. When the grips stays in place the relief on the ulnar is noticeable. My issue is the LH-Side doesn't stay clamped down. I torque the heck out of it to tighten it, but it always ends up coming loose. I have to give it an "Average" for that but I think it's possible I just got a bad one. For its intended purpose, I would recommend the grip.

In the description it states these grips are not compatible with carbon bars, but I found on Ergon's website that 2014-15 GS Series barend models and 2015 GP Series barends models are OK for use on carbon bars. Are these 2015 grips or are they earlier?
