Sizing notes

SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes. TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did a great job, no complaints. Hiked 5 days on the PCT with this in 55 degree daytime weather. Dried quickly when sweaty, didn't get any sun coming through the material, comfy. No buneo for casual wear because of the dorky vent thing on the top of the back and under the arms. Nifty extra material on the end of the sleeves covers your hands a little bit too. Wind didn't penetrate like it would cotton...not that this is a windbreaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish sun protection Bought this for my husband for a trip to a warm sunny climate that we had to cancel. Was looking for a plaid shirt with high UV protection and this is SPF 50. Fit is great as it's not bulky and length is not too long so it can be worn not tucked in. Liked the air hole venting under arms and color goes with everything. As he always wears long sleeved shirts, this was a great find for summer here in Michigan .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Noisy and Does Not Breath Well Shirt material is like a rain coat although thinner. It makes noise as you move in it like a rain coat. It does not breath well. This shirt might be good for fishing when there is an intermittent light drizzle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Summer Shirt I purchased two of these shirts and they are great. The are great to remain cool and have extra vents. My wife also appreciates these shirts as they come out of the washer nearly wrinkle free and the wrinkles hang out very well. She also has washed them and hang them on a hanger to dry. This is especially great in our RV. I highly recommend this shirt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great looking, but no breathability The shirt looks great, but, especially when combine with the REI Sahara T-shirt or the REI Co-op Tech T-shirt, there is no breathability once outside and moving about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great travel shirt This shirt is great for travel because it can be washed in the sink, dries over night and remains pretty much wrinkle free. The solid color version of this shirt must be a different material because it wrinkles and generally does not look as good as the plaid.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing is off Everything about the shirt seems great... except for the fact that it runs really large. I'm 6' and not rail thin but I was still swimming in a medium. Concerns me that companies are starting to make clothing so big.

Will the UPF wash out? If so they how many washes?

Asked by: JimC
UPF should remain relatively unchanged as a result of washing, but it may diminish simply because the fabric becomes worn or faded.

What are the sleeve pockets for?

Asked by: Willywondering
This shirt does not have pockets on the sleeves. The sleeves do have a button and loop system that will allow you to roll up and secure the sleeves if needed.
