Rated 4 out of 5 by from shorts that stretch with you I bought a pair of these to replace an old pair of Fox mountain bike shorts that were constructed out of a heavy, unstretchable fabric. The salesman recommended these PI shorts over others. I do like them, the fabric stretches with you as you move around on the bike. I give the shorts only 4/5 stars because the industry is now cutting yet another corner: these shorts do not come with the padded liner, which used to be part of every PI short purchase. The bottom line is, if you don't have a liner, you'll have to spend another $40 to get one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shorts, won't work well with some knee pads Got these and used them for a little while. I was overall pretty happy except for a couple things: 1) I got a size that is a little too large for me (M). I usually am a 30 waist but didn't want to be too snug (Fox shorts are barely tolerable at 30 waist), but found that I had a bit of loose fabric. I could cinch them down with the internal adjusters, but still it wasn't quite right. 2) The shorts taper towards the leg opening a bit, which is nice except for when you want to wear some slightly burlier knee pads. They fit over my G-form pads fine, but my Race Face Khybers are too bulky and they would bunch up. I ended up returning and getting the elevate shorts in a small instead instead - fit is great and knee pads work well. They are a bit heavier but that's fine with me. I would consider getting another pair of these to complement them in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid MTB Shorts Bought these last year and they're still going strong after a season of abuse. The fabric is simultaneously tough and light weight. I like that they do not come with a built in liner, it's easier just to pull them over a chamois. They're great for just walking around town apre ride as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned for sizing I bit the bullet and spent the full price$ on these with high expectations. When they arrived I was pumped to give'em a try...alas, WAY too small. I used the sizing guide and ordered appropriately, but unlike other brands they just didn't fit. RETURNED. btw...I've worked in the apparel industry and still have to ask the question: Why do shorts listed under bicycling categories cost so much?
