Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely obsessed This is my first hammock purchase, and I am completely and thoroughly obsessed. I have made it my mission to convert every one of my friends into the wonderfulness that is hammocking. Seriously. Obsessed. The first one I got had a snag in it, but when I called to let REI know, they immediately sent me a new one free of charge and rush shipped it so I could have it for my upcoming camping trip. They really took care of me! This little morsel of joy is so easy to put up with the Atlas straps I purchased (after all, I *am* a beginner). I have even had 2 people in the hammock and we fit as comfortably as you can considering the effects of gravity. ;) The hammock is very strong, yet lightweight. Love it. Anyway, I would definitely suggest this hammock to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best DoubleNest Yet! At this point we all know the quality of ENO hammocks...it's top notch. This PCT version of the DoubleNest is no exception. Everything is beautiful, the colors are vibrant, and there is a sweet Pacific Crest Trail logo patch on the pouch. I immediately took this out and pitched it in the pines nearby to get the full effect. It's amazing! Next week I have a trip planned over to the PNW and will get some pics of it in use on the PCT and post up here for everyone. Anyway, this hammock is the same quality we all love, buy one and some of your proceeds are donated to the PCTA...you can't go wrong if you have love for the trail. This is a must have item. I have also paired it with the new Atlas XL straps to fit around those western red cedars, coastal redwoods, and giant sequoias!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the hammock, but colors were wrong. The quality of this hammock is top-notch and I love everything about it. It's compact when packed and opens wide when set up. ENO makes some great quality hammock. I bought this one specifically because the color scheme was incredible, i was obsessed with it. When it arrived though, I was a bit disappointed. The main "body" of it was teal, and the trim was blue and charcoal... Not like what is pictured, so essentially I have an emerald green hammock. You can actually find the correct color of what the hammock looks like on the ENO website, I had to find out the hard way. Did anyone else's hammock arrive the way mine did? Anyways, the more I use it, the more I start to like it anyways but would've loved it if it came as pictured.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great product, not a DoubleNest This is obviously a good product - it's an Eno. However, I was disappointed to realize that despite being labeled a DoubleNest, it is, in fact, 6 inches shorter in both width and length. Unless my math skills are off, this is a loss of 8 square feet of hammock. I obviously still fit in it solo (I have yet to try it with another person) and it means that it's 3 oz lighter than the DoubleNest, but I feel that it's false advertising to call it a DoubleNest when it's significantly smaller. Other than that, it's good quality, easy to set up/pack up, and the colors are gorgeous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way Too Cool! I own an ENO Double Nest & Single Nest and was stoked to see this PCT edition Double Nest. Not only is it the best hammock ever, when you purchase this hammock, ENO gives a portion of the sales back to the Pacific Crest Trail Association. Classy act, kudos to all who support this venture!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from best hammock out there I bought this hammock after falling in love with my friend's ENO. It was backordered so took a while to get to me, but the wait was definitely worth it! This product has the same excellent quality as all ENO hammocks. The color scheme is beautiful, and I love that it supports the PCTA. The hammock is lightweight and very comfortable. It also compacts down to a very small size, which is great for backpacking. This is ENO's 2-person hammock and is wider than their SingleNest, but don't get tricked into thinking this hammock is huge. If you want to use this hammock for two people, you better really like the person you're sharing it with. With two people in this hammock, you are pushed as close as you can get to each other. Also note that the weight limit on this hammock is 400 lbs and for most of the straps that go with it, 200 lbs per strap. This is important to keep in mind because two people can easily meet the 400 lbs weight limit. My boyfriend and I are both in excellent shape but are muscular and tall; our combined weight is about 360. This hammock is amazing, especially for one person or couples. ENO hammocks are the best for hiking trips and camping or just relaxing outside with friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from all pros, no cons It's perfect, fits two people as comfortably as possible (because it's a hammock, of course there's no extra room and you have to organize yourselves properly), and the colors are beautiful. I'm glad to have supported the PCT, and the fact that I didn't have to pay extra to give that support was a big draw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Product I bought this hammock for strict relaxing and camping purposes. Being a full time student and working two jobs, I needed a small and portable space where I could deep breathe and wind down from my crazy day. This hammock does exactly that. The colors are spot on to what the picture shows, if not even more vibrant, but my favorite part is the PCT logo on the bag. It looks sweet. It was sturdy, easy to put back into the bag, and tote around places. Highly recommend this hammock.

Does this hammock come with straps? Seems silly to sell a hammock that can't be hung. Yet I see the atlas straps are sold separately?

I have seen two different colors for this specific PCTA hammock. The picture REI has shows the emerald color for the body. Pretty much everywhere else (including the ENO website) shows a picture with a grey body. Which is correct?

I'n just considering hammock camping and would like to know what else one should have.  I'm a three season camper.  So...guessing the hammock, some high-end straps, a bug screen and a rain cover.  Anything else?   Thanks, Chip

Asked by: Chip6
You've got it. To go with this DoubleNest, we recommend the ENO Atlas Suspension System, the ENO ProFly or DryFly Rain Tarp (the ProFly provides more coverage, the DryFly is better in high winds) and the ENO Guardian Bug Net. Stakes aren't included with the tarps, so may also need some of those. If so, the MSR Ground Hog Stakes are a great choice. The other double nest hammocks from ENO say that hand washing your hammock is a better choice. However the PCT hammock says its machine washable unlike the other ENO hammocks. Why is this? Are they made of different materials?

Asked by: ricek8
According to the ENO care instructions, you are able to machine wash all ENO hammocks on a gentle cycle with mild detergent in cold water in a front loading washer. They should then be line dried. The Pacific Crest Trail hammock is made with high-tenacity nylon taffeta; the ENO DoubleNest is made with 70-denier nylon taffeta.
