My most used fleece

It might say jacket but I use it as a sweater around the house and on the town. Pros Warmest fleece I own. Trim fit. Nice long arms. I can raise my hands over my head without the waistband raising. Waist and wrist bands keep cool air out without being tight. Light weight. Good looking. Cons Price is a bit steep but you can find them on sale or use your dividend like I did. I'm 6'4" 200lbs and I bought the large. Oddly, I own a lot of Arcteryx fleece and this is the only piece that is not XL. I'll be getting another.

Not a comfortable product

I bought this as a replacement to an older Arc'teryx zip up cardigan fleece that was my favorite piece of clothing. It was incredible soft, midweight, and I could climb in it as well as sleep in it, it was that versatile. This piece, however, has been the most disappointing Arc'teryx product I've ever had, and worst fleece I've used. I will admit, it is a stunning, lovely design, and it's why I bought it, much too quickly, in store. It's a very stiff, uncomfortable fabric, and not at all warm. I imagine this has something to do with the 100% recycled polyester. I applaud more sustainable materials, but simply can't use this. The stiffness impairs movement during activity, and it pills considerably. If've ever seen 100% recycled polyester wool from a craft shop like Joanne's, this is exactly that type of material. There is a coarseness to it that's neither comfortable nor warm. There are so many fleece options out there, but I strongly recommend avoiding this, unless you're prioritizing the design and really aren't too bothered by the material.

I love everything except for the pilling

Bought this in Nov 2019 and would have returned it in early 2020 due to the constant pilling, except for Covid and the resultant lockdown. Functionally is nice and warm. However, the pilling is really bad and it looks tatty. Can't really wear it on video calls now with clients as the pilling shows! What high tech problems we have in Covid times.

Good fleece, not quite what I sought

I bought this to serve as a heavier midlayer under my softshell or windshell for situations when a Delta LT is not heavy enough. My use case is primarily in temperate areas where winter mornings might be below freezing, but in the high sixties or even seventies by noon. I need to ditch layers and still be dressed appropriately in public spaces. By itself, I found it to be warm and comfortable even at 26*F. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a warm and comfortable fleece to wear over trim or athletic shirts or just a base layer. I would not recommend it to anyone who needs to layer it over a looser fit long sleeved shirt or under a performance shell. The interior and exterior of this product's sleeves do not cooperate with other layers.

Best Sweater!

True, the wind may cut through it. I'd say for when the weather is right for a sweater and not something heavier you can't beat it! It's warm indoors when you need something in a restaurant or at the office. I've worn it outdoors when it's been down to 38 and as long as I had a T-shirt or long sleeve on under it, I was just fine on the way to or from the car! The look is GREAT! The fit is what the call Athletic. Slim in the middle section... I've had multiple Arc'teryx items and LOVE the QUALITY in every one of them!

worth the money

I tried on multiple other brands; Patagonia, North Face, Marmot, etc. This coat surpasses all the other options by far; style, weight, cut, and ability to adapt with multiple clothing options (fun, or with business casual). The only downside, but positives still make it worth it as that the internal sleeves of the jacket "grab" your long sleeve shirts periodicals and that can be annoying. But again - I rather hold the cuff of my shirt old school as I put the coat on then deal with the excessive bulkiness the competitors offer. Spend the $$, you will be glad you did

Functional with thoughtful design--a bit loose

The covert is cozy, and I pretty much wear it all day at home. I really appreciate the inner mesh front that allows for venting/temperature control, especially with the hand pockets open. For my body type, it fits a little loose. This is considered a "regular" fit under Arcteryx, and I'd definitely say it's not form-fitting. The cuffs aren't as tight as I'd like and often cover parts of my hands, unlike my other Arcteryx jackets in the same size. If you're planning to layer under this and you have small/slim build, then it will likely be fine. I'm 5'4"; 122 lbs; got a size small. Probably should've gotten an XS, but that wasn't in stock at the time.

very warm sweater

very high quality, the "alpenex heathered" does the job and it is very warm, fits even to 6-7 degrees (ces) and maybe less i didn"t check. my first time in arcteryx and i am very happy and i recommend also to freinds, it have two layers all over the chest and in the pockets, each winter my hands get's cold and now with these sweater and my hands inside the pockets i don't have this problem!!! (i was very suprised from that) i wear several companies (marmot mountain hardwear) and i think that arcteryx is one off the quality companies. meybe the sweater is a little expensive but i think it worth the price to those who knows about quality thank you arcteryx!

Fantastic Lightweight Option

What an awesome mid layer. I am extremely impressed with this piece as I was looking for something warm, something I could wear around the office, and something I could wear out around the town. This really does check all of the boxes. The other impressive thing is that it is extremely light! Lighter than I expected. I have an old Regent cardigan, and I thought this would be similar…it is WAY lighter. I do gave the Patagonia better sweater, which I'll admit I do love. However, it is much heavier and thicker, whereas this cardigan is thinner, lighter, and (from what I can tell) equally as warm. Very happy with this product.

Wear With Jeans or With Ski Pants

Need a warm mid layer? Need a fleece that doesn’t look like ski attire? Need it to fulfill multiple roles in your life? Here is your new fleece to consider. The relaxed fit allows this jacket to be used as a mid layer without having the armpit seems wedged into your armpits. This is great for comfort, mobilty and not smelling like a mountain goat later in the day after skiing or snowboarding. No one likes pit sweat from tight synthetic clothing, besides synthetics tend to promote more BO over natural fibers. Because of the jackets more mature look, it can be worn for your casual get together or when you simply want to be cozy without looking like a ski bum.
