Arc.. what’re you guys doing? All the people have been asking for has been to give the CC a trimmer fit. Instead- you made it boxy and oversized in all the wrong places. I went to actually buy one of these and checked one out in store beforehand, and compared to my 2025 CC- it feels worse in nearly every single way. Shorter and boxier torso, longer and wider sleeves, the fleece no longer feels like the sweater knit they had been doing, and the invisible stitching they’ve been doing forever has also disappeared and looks cheap. If you’re looking for style, then this piece would be fine as overall it’s not bad looking, but If you’re looking for the performance pieces you’d typically find with Arc, then you’ll be heavily disappointed to find another piece has yet been given a more mainstream look and feel and has had corners cut to reduce the cost, but not for the customer.
Boxy Covert
The fit of the Covert Cardigan has been modified. It is now "regular" fit rather than "fitted". Personally I prefer this, as to me, it is a casual, every day cardigan and now it fits over normal t-shirts or even button ups. I understand arc old heads prefer the tight fit of the past but I think that is a bit out of fashion for casual wear. In my mind this is an every day casual sweater-jacket and do not think it is intended for climbing or even as an active mid layer. Anyway, if you like the Covert styling but wished it wasn't such a tight fit, now's the time to get one. I remove one half star because even though it's a design signature of the Covert line, the shoulder pocket is a useless size. Another 0.5 deduction because the arms are a bit too long.
Durable
Ive hard one for the better part of 10 years, and it’s held up great, even just washed and dried in the machines, & would wear it regularly
