Perfect PNW Outdoor Flannel
I love a good flannel for all my camping trips and in the PNW you can be in 90 degree and sunny weather or cool, gray and rainy on any given weekend. This shirt has weathered both storms to perfection. It kept me cool in Eastern WA with a tank top in hot weather and cozy as part of my layers when up in the San Juans. The large fit well, but I went a size up for optimal layering needs. The material is soft and keeps moisture away, allowing me to wear all day, night and even while sleeping on my 4-5 day long camping trips. Washes up nicely too. I want to buy all the colors! I love the shirt to much, it's made its way into my daily routine in the city.
Versatile for trekking
I bought this shirt right before leaving for an eight night backpacking trek through Yosemite State Park. I lived in it during the trip! I kept me warm in the cold nights and early morning but breathed during the day and protected me from the sun without roasting me. I loved it!
A little disappointed
I’ve been searching for a nice quality and good fitting flannel shirt for ages and thought I’d found it with the Marmot Bridget Flannel. Unfortunately not. I was a little disappointed by the weight of the flannel, it’s much thinner than expected. The fit was flattering but just wished it was of heavier weight. I love the weight of the Patagonia Fjord flannel shirt, but the fit is too boxy. I also prefer 100% cotton, this is a 50/50 blend. The color wasn’t quite as pictured for the Madder Red – the colors are much less vibrant in real life. I will continue my search!
Flannel is where its at
Flannel is where its at. I gave this thing as a gift and my wife basically wears this thing all day everyday. She wears it like a glorified uniform. She's had it now for 3 weeks and shes worn the thing at least 20 days. Durable, yes. Awesome, yes. Will it make you a better person, heck yes.
Tore after wearing 3 times
Bought it this week and it already has a 4 inch tear along the cuff of the left arm. Hasn't even been washed. The look was great and wore it in the evenings as fall weather was starting. Didn't hold up at all.
seems well-made
I loved the color, madder red, so was drawn to this shirt. I think it's more orange than red, though. I got the large for layering, but might consider the xl if I decide to keep it. For reference, I'm 5'5" 135# with broad shoulders and long arms. I think it's pricey, but with all the moisture-wicking and upf, that's why. I wanted it for fall and winter, not in the sun. I doubt I will be keeping it, mainly b/c of the price. I can get a good flannel shirt from my favorite company for less and with a lifetime guarantee.
Washes up nicely
This is a great-quality shirt. It washes up really well and is comfortacle. It is a little boxy in shaoe but still cute.
My girlfriend absolutely loves it
She had worn it on every trip so far. Nice and durable, comfy, and keeps her warm
Great hiking shirt
Bought this shirt for hiking and it is great! Warm and wicks away perspiration. Also very attractive!
Lovable but not durable
Pros: I loved this shirt and wore it every day for the first week I had it. It's cozy and I like the color. Cons: - Wrist openings are a little too small. For this reason, I almost always wore it with wrists unbuttoned and rolled up to my forearms. - It ripped along the hem of one of the wrist openings (parallel to the length of my forearm) when it was still new. (Planning to return or exchange for this reason.)
