Slept like a baby!

This pillow is a dream! I balked at the price at first but took the plunge and have not looked back. Weighs nothings, takes no space at all. I am a side sleeper and most of my sleep difficulties during overnight trips has been related to everything I've used either slipping out from under my head or not being high enough. While I still had to stick a jacket under it to give it some added loft it all stayed put and I never struggled once. There is a large version of this but I think this one is better because it really fits well under your head. As one of the other reviewers noted, if you fill it up only about 80% of the way it works best! Your head just sinks in nicely and floats you away to comfortable dream time!

Very prone to punctures, cannot be easily repaired

The pillow looks great on the shelf but mine punctured very quickly, and I was only using it in the tent. The problems occurs when you try and fix it. You have to cut the cover away as you can't stick a patch on the fuzzy outer cover. Inside SEA to Summit have used the cheapest of cheap plastics which makes it so prone to puncture and yet so destructive to fix (ie cutting away the cover). The inner plastic is about as durable as a ziploc bag. I'd go for another, higher quality brand.

Valve Design Issue

I'm currently on my third Aeros, and all three have failed at the valve after less than 5 uses. The valve just starts to separate form the pillow and it leaks air. Sea to Summit has been great in replacing them, but it seems to be a design flaw. I would not recommend this brand if you want to use your pillow more than a handful of times.

Punctures Easily

I am agreeing with the other title of similar name. I used it for 1 week in the Adirondacks in a tent inside my sleeping bag and it punctured by the end of the week. It was NOT from over inflating as I did not inflate fully for comfort. When I tried to fix it, as the other review said, I had to cut into the fabric and then discovered that there was more than one hole as the first patch did not fix it. I am terrible disappointed that I spent so much money on this and now it is unable to be used after 1 week of use. Sad.

Surprising comfort for inflatable

I've tried several inflatable pillows and all of them felt like I was sleeping on a beach ball - hard, plastic, and not comfortable. This one is much closer to a real pillow. The top material is soft and comfy. Yes, you still know you are sleeping on an inflatable pad, but if you only fill it about 80% of the way, it's much more comfortable than others I have tried. It collapses easily, stores small, and as light. It's earned a permanent place in my pack.

Nice but didn't last.

I bought this about a year ago. I often pack a travel sheet and pillow in my airline carry on just in case I get stuck somewhere. I'd only used it a couple of times for a nap in an airplane seat. Last week, when staying with a friend in NYC whose guest bed had but one thin pillow, I pulled it out and inflated it. Was truly surprised how comfortable it was to actually sleep on in a bed and became thrilled with my purchase, showing it off the next morning. In the middle of the third night I was awakened by a loud thump sound and the sound of air gushing out. I'm guessing a seam gave way as there was nothing around that could have punctured it. While I'd kind of like to try another one the thought of paying over $13 a night for the use I got out of it scares me away from another.

Light weight and a room saver in the pack

I slept on the pillow last night. Here is a couple of observations. First it is the best pillow so far for hiking that I have found. It packs down very small so doesn't take up a lot of space and is very light weight. It inflates to a good sized pillow with a soft surface. I inflated it to much and found that I needed to let a lot of air out of it which was easy to do. That being said…. It has a bit of a "crinkly" sound to it. I don't think that would be an issue. Is it the perfect pillow for hiking? I'll sleep on it…

The Best hands down!

This pillow is comparably light to my exped however it is more comfortable. It packs down to almost nothing and weighs about the same. The fabric on the one side is uber nice to sleep on, and the pillow puffs up so your neck is not strained. And unlike most other lightweight pillows this one does not scooch out from beneath your head. It's a little pricer than some but believe me, well worth the money.

Does not last

This pillow is comfortable and packs small making it great for backpacking, however, after only a few months, an internal hole formed and it no longer held air. I contacted Sea to Summit and they were nice enough to send a replacement. Well that replacement lasted just about as long as the first one, less than 6 months. A few of my friends also had this pillow and every single pillow eventually failed to hold air, with no visible tear or hole on the exterior. It's very disappointing to wake up in the woods at 3 AM with your head on a completely deflated pillow. Do not purchase.
