Sea to Summit  Aeros Down Pillow

I had the old version (white top) until I lost it. I loved the height and how lightweight it was. So I decided to buy the same pillow, but I was really disappointed. They changed the material to nylon and it made it SO slippery and loud. Literally my head would slide around like it was on ice. It also has a lot less stretch and comfort than the old one. I returned it and I settled on an aeros ultralight that I just stuff into a buff with my puffy. It's a lot more comfortable and quiet. Honestly, this redesign was a really poor design choice. I don't recommend this new version at all, but the old version is worth the money.

I got the regular size just based on my personal preference but if you like larger pillows I'd recommend sizing up. Once I was able to adjust the inflation properly to suit my needs it was incredibly comfortable. It packs down to basically nothing, about half the size of a can of soda. The down on the top of it just gave you a little extra comfort where you needed it. My only gripe is that the draw string for the stuff sack wasn't stitched into the actual stuff sack properly so it just pulled through leaving me with a bitter end of line hanging but everything still functions fine. The order came quick and would highly recommend the product.

This pillow is not 4.7” tall. It is under 4”. I’m immensely frustrated with paying $7 return shipping fees when advertised measurements are incorrect.

Generally inflatable pillows are so-so for me. I'm a side sleeper, so I need thick-but-plush support for my head and neck. I was amazed at how this pillow performed, especially in comparison to several other inflatable pillows that I own. The large size is big enough to feel like my head won't fall off in the middle of the night, and the height is perfect for support. The loft at the top of the pillow provides softness and warmth, which feels much more like an actual pillow that you might typically use in your own bed. My wife was so jealous that I had to purchase one for her for our camping trips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pillow is super lightweight and packs super small which would be great for backpacking or whenever space and weight is a huge concern, but is not a pillow I would use for any other purpose. It feels like you sleeping on a balloon whenever you move around, and I feel like it puts a lot of pressure on my head. I have tried using it at different air pressures, and I cannot get into give me any kind of soft support for a good night's rest.

I have tried a couple different pillows over the years. This is the second inflatable style. I like a plushy feel to my pillows and was hopeful that the down top would overcome the balloon feeling of my last inflatable pillow. Unfortunately, I think the down is too thin to make the pillow actually feel plushy. What made things worse is the material made my head sweat. And I was left with a moist pillow with a dark spot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight & packable which is why I bought. The material feels very nice on the skin and size is also great for how tiny it packs. Two things why I would try something else if I was on a market again: the material is quite loud which I did not expect from a pillow and the down cushioning is probably nice for insulation, but does not help with the feel of “inflated bag” 🤷‍♀️

It’s feather light, rolls up and packs up smaller than a fist and it’s super comfy. I love the Velcro tabs that you install on the pad to keep it in place. Highly recommended!!
