Rated 4 out of 5 by from Put to the test I've used this jacked day in and day out when I go for runs in the snow, rain, and on windy days. As well as used it for a whole season going snowboarding, back country, and hiking and cycling. The waterproof is spot on as well as the fit works well for an athletic body type. I would just be careful of leaving non-flat items in the front pockets too often as it seems that the friction caused from the bulge and taking a few falls on the snow has caused a bit of a tear. For example I typically snowboard or ride with a headlight or my cell phone in the front pocket and after 1 year dealt with about a 1cm tear, my only complaint. That being said, a simple gortex repair patch easily fixed that problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality 3-Season Outer Layer My daughter and I recently thru-hiked the Colorado Trail. We had 36 hiking days and encountered weather events on a daily basis including a sudden and lengthy early morning hail storm with high winds above timberline. We both used the Beta LT Hybrid Jacket as our outer layer for wind & rain protection. This jacket was an excellent choice for consecutive everyday use. We also enjoyed the comfort of the collar which offset the wee bit of extra weight associated with it. The Jacket was durable and ideal for this application. A very good choice for 3-season hiking and backpacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kept dry & block high wind I alwats kept my eyes on this one even though it's pricy & finally bought it during the sale. Last week, I went to hit four 10,000 peaks. It was windy, rainy & cold. My fellow hikers said it was about 39F & 45 mph wind with rain. We could hardly stand at times. This jacket not only kept me dry but warm. Hate to mention the other two hikers shell jackets were not holding as well as this one. The hood stayed on my head even with high wind & kept rain away. This jacket kept me warm as descending that I got sweaty inside. I forgot to open vents under arms. It was definitely worth the price. Now I could use the matching pants. Definately recommend this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what you need This jacket is exactly what you need if you require a water/wind proof shell to protect you from the elements. It'll fit over whatever you have on (given you aren't wearing a puffy down jacket) but don't expect it to keep you warm by itself (unless a breeze comes in early May). That being said, its extremely thin (like bed sheet thin) so packing it won't be a problem and I don't see any issues wearing it in warm weather while its raining. If you think about it, the thin material is perfect for all seasons, just layer up underneath during cold weather. Everything cinches down to keep wind/water out and it fits perfect - I'm 6'00 160lbs and I wear a medium. I just tested it out in the Rockies during a weekend where we got 10 feet of snow. It performed flawlessly. Overall, its highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! I've been delaying the purchase due to cost, however after buying several other brands at the mid 100$/200$ I should have just made the leap the first time. Fits great functions great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdiest rain jacket I've owned I purchased the product on the Labor Day clearance event. I live in Washington and consequently deal with a lot of rain both at home and on the trail. Just got back yesterday from a 4 day along the Sol Duc. It didn't rain at all, but it was quite windy. The jacket worked well in the wind, and I have no concerns about its effectiveness in the rain either. The jacket feels very strong, and the zippers in the arm pits are a great feature for a backpacker who doesn't wish to get wet, or over-heat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Arc'teryx Beta LT Hybrid Jacket - Men's I've used it only once for a backpack trip in the Rockies over Labor Day 2015. But as it rained hard and was cold, it was a good test. The coat performed well to keep me dry. I did need added layers for warmth when the temps dropped below 40. I like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The continuation of a great brand I have had this jacket for four years now. Hesitant at first about spending the money on one jacket.... completely worth the price. Breathable and strong. Hiked the A.T., rock climb and kayak in it all the time.

Is this the Beta LT or the Beta AR?  On the Arc'teryx website the Beta AR has the separate storm collar and the LT does not.

Asked by: J_C_
To answer my own question, I just picked this jacket up at the local REI and that tag does read Beta LT.

What kind of the material is the interior?  Is it more of a fabric, Taffeta or rubbery feel?  I just purchased a OR Foray and I'm not crazy about the interior.
