Excellent fit
This helmet replaces a Giro that I've used for many years. I've never cared for the way the Giro sat high on my head and I've never felt that it fit securely (could be my fault). The Stoker was easy to fit to my head and it feels much more secure. I also like the additional protection the Stoker offers for the back of my head. Overall there seems to be more of the helmet in contact with my skull than I had with the Giro. The visor on the Stoker also provides better protection at low sun angles during early morning rides. Highly recommended.
Comfortable
I purchased this helmet about 8 months ago as an upgrade to my very old BMX race helmet. The adjustment wheel on this works extremely well for customizing fit quickly and easily. The vent holes provide enough airflow for me to stay fairly comfortable and avoid fogging my glasses in hot weather, and I've found they do not make me unnecessarily cold during the winter. I would have liked an option to mount a blinky light on the back for improved nighttime visibility when riding with traffic aside from looping a zip tie through the rear vent holes, so I just affixed some SOLAS reflective tape.
LOVE THIS HELMET
Searched around a lot for a truly comfortable MTB helmet that I wouldn't be fidgeting with on the trail. This Helmet in a Mens Small fits my cranium just perfect. Super comfy pads and straps. I forget I have it on! Highly recommend it.
Great Helmet
When a Full Faced Helmet is not required this fits the job for those All Mountain adventures; even fits biking googles. It feels very much like my XC helmet, I may just shelve my XC Helmet for this added protection. Ease of adjustment for cold weather riding with an insulated skull cap.
First REI purchase
I've been riding for about a year. This was a great first purchase at REI. Best light weight helmet I've ever had, with a nice color. The adjustment is a little bulky, but you shouldn't need to do it often. Great buy. I ride on MT trails mostly, and the lower head protection is nice.
NIce helmet
This is a good all around helmet. I use it for commuting, road riding and off road. It has fewer vents than traditional helmets but it has not been a problem so far. It looks fairly decent and it fits nice. I'd recommend it.
solid brain bucket
good helmet. The speed dial fit is especially nice. The helmet fits well in warm weather and can be adjusted for the cold weather when wearing a beanie style hat under the helmet. I bought the matte black, but added some reflective stickers. Simple, unobtrusive, lightweight with good ventilation. The speed dial makes sure that the helmet doesn't bobble around while you ride.
Good looking helmet
Bought this helmet as it was on sale. Really great value. Helmet looks great. Visor is adjustable and works very well. I managed to crash and the helmet did its job. 4 stars only because it gets a little hot during intense long rides; not enough ventilation.
Good helmet for Peyton Manning foreheads...
I got a tall Peyton Manning type forehead and had a difficult time finding a helmet that fit well. This one fits perfect and is comfortable and affordable. I haven't crashed tested it but it seems it'd offer good protection. I also like the sun visor.
Excellent helmet that will last for time
I use this helmet when I ride to the gym and trail riding which makes it an all around good choice.
