Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

REI Co-op Men Sahara wicking SPF long sleeve shirt
I used this during a workout when I first received it and was very happy with it. I got a large as I am usually between medium and large. The large is a little loose but I like the fit. Finally got some warm weather and was able to get out on a hike in the mountains and it performed very well. It was a sunny day between 65-70 when I was out and was pleased that I did not get too hot even with a long sleeve. I look forward to using it more as the weather improves especially with the SPF 30 for that protection against the Sun as I have had Melanoma in the past. If you want a great light weight long sleeve that wicks moisture and protects from the sun I am sold on this one.
Soft, comfortable and breathable
I've been using the shirt for several weeks now. It's soft, comfortable and breathable. It looks good out on the trail and in town (though the one I have does share a similar grey color to several of the tech pants I own...not bad per say but you do look very dark grey when wearing them all together!). I'm 6' and around 160 lbs with a fairly slender build. I found the medium to be comfortable size wise but probably a little large for my frame. I wasn't able to try the shirt on prior to getting it so I had to guess on the size (usually tshirts I'm more of a medium, button downs a small). I do wish it had thumb holes in the sleeves but that's totally a personal preference. Very comfortable to sleep in as well. It's been through a couple of wash cycles no worse for wear (though I've only lined dried it like most of my tech shirts). It hasn't been too bad from that "tech shirt's smell" standpoint either. I did pick up a little bit of the smell after wearing it several times without washing it so not quite as good as my merino wool tshirts but overall nothing I'm concerned about at this point. It will definitely be in my shirt rotation when the weather calls for a long sleeve shirt inside or out!
Nice shirt for all around use
I like this REI long sleeved T-shirt. So far I have used it running, as a base layer for snow shoeing and winter hiking as well as a casual shirt around home and town. Very comfortable with a nice amount of stretch. Nice weight. It seems to be well made. Solid seams. It looks nice. It does not retain odor after washing though like most synthetics after a good sweat it is not a shirt one would wear again the next day without a wash. My only complaint is that the body length and sleeves are slightly long for me in a medium. I am 5’ 8” 160 lbs and typically do wear a medium. Perhaps a small with this shirt would have been better for me.
Multi-Use Shirt
This is an awesome multi-use shirt. I’ve used it while biking, hiking, and doing other outdoor sports. As far as durability, it has held up very well. I’ve spent plenty of time getting walking through thick brush and falling on the ground in this shirt with no signs of wear or tear. As far as warmth, it handles cool weather very well. It keeps a comfortable temperature in cooler temperatures and climates. It also handles sweat well, short of a very hot day. It is very comfortable with a nice soft feel. But it doesn’t get uncomfortable when sweating. It has a fairly loose feel, and I sized up on this shirt. All in all, I recommend this shirt for most outdoor uses. I’m planning on getting more of these shirts since they are so useful for so many different activities. If you regularly hike or do other outdoor activities, this is a solid shirt to go with.
Great long sleeve exercise shirt
I really like this shirt. It was very comfortable and seemed to wick away moisture pretty well. I mostly used it for some indoor cardio and weightlifting since it was a bit too cold outside for me to do any running recently. Also, it seems relatively wrinkle resistant. This picture was taken right after it was stuffed unfolded into a box while I moved to a new house. It runs a little large. I usually get a large size just because I have a longer torso and that makes it so the sleeves and body of the shirt are long enough but it ends up being a little baggy on me. The shirt seemed like the length of the arms and body had already been adjusted so I definitely could have gotten away with a medium which would have been a little more form-fitting for me.
Great Lightweight Shirt
The material is high quality and works great for everyday jogs and short hikes. The shirt did a good job wicking away sweat. I got a large size, which is normal for me for shirts. It's looser and longer than what I'm used to, but it's perfect for what I wanted to use it for. During a jog, it stayed lightweight and loose even with sweat on the shirt. After a few wears, I didn't notice any lingering odors. It didn't really keep me warm, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it as a base layer if I was really cold in it. Overall, it's a great lightweight shirt for most activities.
Sleeve ripped easily after a couple of months of light and infrequent use. Soft but doesn’t last and REÍ refused to exchange the damaged shirt
New version is worse!
It's hot, stuffy, less soft, scratchy. The recycled material was a good idea but it seems like it results in poorer product. I have a old version of the shirt and it is much superior. This one also made my nipples chafe and that has never happened to me before. But overall the biggest downside is how warm it is. I wear it as a sun shirt in Texas and it doesn't get enough airflow.
Nicely made, very lightweight, thin fabric
I'm 6', 175 lbs, and a Medium size fits me, the sleeves are even a bit long (even though I have long arms). This shirt is nice, but very thin fabric. If you are buying it to provide cover from the sun, it's perfect. If you are expecting even a tiny bit of warmth out of it, you might want to look at something with more substantial fabric.
Very Good based layer for a tall man
Very good base layer shirt. I am 6'5" and weigh 220 lbs. I purchased the Men's XL Tall Long-Sleeve shirt and it fits well, including the sleeve length. I have worn it 6 times in January, covering about 5 miles each trip, and it has done a very good job of wicking the moisture away from me to outer layers. I have washed it in a mesh wash bag 3 times and the stitching has held up. It does not seem to retain body odor.
