Awesome cooler!

I use my Tundra 50 in the cool Colorado back country and in some extreme desert heat. We are hard on our equipment and this cooler performs great and is tough as nails. I love the rubber lid latches and non slip feet. I expect the Tundra to last a lifetime.

The Wife’s Yeti

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For two years all I heard from my wife is “I want a pink Yeti”. I finally broke down and bought her the pink Yeti 50. I’m sure I will be ragged on for buying a pink Yeti but who cares. All you guys listen up, Happy Wife makes a Happy Life. I immediately added two 15 pound bags of ice and twelve hot beers and we constantly opened the lid all night. 24 hours later I see very little water. I’d say 95% ice left. And maybe a beer or two left. This cooler is great. Now who’s laughing guys? I’d say we are both winners. The Wife got her pink Yeti and I got a Yeti. Thanks Yeti, From the Wife. And thanks from me. Most Impressive

This cooler was purpose purchased for my hunting jeep. It is mounted outside the jeep, between 2 jerry cans. The tie down kit held securely when on the trail. On a recent trip for turkey, I had it loaded with food and beverages for a 4 day hunt. 4 days of running around, unprotected on the back of the jeep, stuffed full, it still had ice when I returned home. Some people can run to the store when ice runs low. In the woods 100 miles from anything that isn't an option. The cooler is worth every cent I paid for it.

Worth every dollar

I'm just a 21 year old blue collar guy who enjoys bass fishing on the weekends. I started by purchasing a Coleman cooler thinking it would work. After only a couple fishing trips, the lid snapped off. I knew then I would just have to save up and buy a yeti. I later got the Tundra 50 and have never looked back. It was worth every dime. It goes from my house to my truck to my boat and its handles all of the throwing around without a problem, while also keeping the ice. I am now a yeti fanatic. I have several shirts, koozies, the rambler and lowball. I am now saving up for hopper! Thank you Yeti for making coolers that last for the blue collar weekend warrior like me!

Grand Daddy of all coolers!

I had been searching for a high performance cooler for some time. I finally came across the Yeti. It came with excellent feedback but I would judge for myself. My first experience was a recent car ride from Cincinnati to Florida, with and overnight stop along the way. I loaded the Yeti with cold beer (no ice) in Cincinnati. When I arrived in Florida some 22 hours later I opened the cooler to add ice. To my surprise the beer was still cold! Incredible. I added a large bag of ice that didn't fully melt for the entire week that I was in Florida! The Yeti is also advertised as being bear proof. Thank goodness I wasn't able to test it!

Perfect for my kayak

I got my seafoam cooler mainly for work. I do a lot of landscaping and things where I don't always have access to cold drinks, so I figured hey why not? Plus my girlfriend really liked the color, so it was a win win. The night before I put about an inch or so of water in the bottom and freeze it in my deep freezer. Then the next morning I put my cold drinks from the fridge in it and fill the rest with ice. This thing keeps ice all day and the ice in the bottom stays in there for days after that. Also, if I already have my waters pretty cold the yeti gets and stays cold enough to make my drinks slushy without adding salt or anything. Most of the time my roadie is in full sunlight or stays in a hot truck. So overall cooling performance, I am very satisfied. The size of the roadie is also perfect for day trips and minimalist type trips like overnight camping or strapping to the back of my kayak. And with the strap tie downs on the sides I've even strapped it to my fourwheeler to take it fishing down at the river and to have cold drinks on the trail. There is literally no better cooler to take adventuring. Its a great size for just about anything and the color is great. I'm a guy and figured the seafoam would be kind of girly, but its really not. Best cooler I've ever had. Period.

It actually does what it claims to do

I bought this cooler a couple of weeks ago and we used it to store all the beer for my dad's retirement party. That was on Saturday. The next Saturday I had a BBQ and had completely forgotten to drain the water and put new ice in. Low and behold, I opened it up and it was still half full of ice. A week later, after sitting in my garage, everything was still SUPER cold and there were actual ice chunks left. I couldn't believe it. I don't care if bears can't get into this--this is going to save me so much money on ice this summer! It is a tad bit on the heavy side, and the handles make it wonky to walk with, but overall, I love it and am super happy with it!!

Too good! Sort of.......

As a professional guide this get's used as a cooler, seat, casting platform, etc. My one complaint is that as the day goes on and the interior gets colder it seals too well. You can barely get the top open even with two hands. This is a problem when you are on a bonefish flat and the sound of a bouncing cooler is a critical problem. I found that if I loosen the drain plug and release the pressure it will open. I do not expect my customers to go through this drill every time they want a drink which is often in the spring and summer down here in the Florida Keys. This is my first Yeti and I would like to know if this is common or just my particular cooler.
