  • Rotomolded polyethylene construction, the same process used to make whitewater kayaks, ensures excellent impact resistance and long-lasting durability
  • Extra-thick walls contain proprietary PermaFrost™ insulation that is pressure injected, giving the cooler outstanding resistance to outside temperatures
  • YETI coolers are designed to handle extremely low temperatures and are compatible with dry ice; dry ice provides about 3 times the cooling power of regular ice
  • Tundra 45 cooler has a 35.5-liter capacity that will hold 26 cans and plenty of ice; designed to accommodate long-neck bottles
  • Tundra lid seals shut with a freezer-quality gasket around the entire lid to minimize air exchange
  • Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee has certified the Tundra 45 as a bear-resistant food container when used with 2 padlocks (sold separately) on both front corners
  • Tie-down slots are molded into the cooler body for solid mounting in your boat or truck; cooler can be secured while allowing access to the inside; straps sold separately
  • Full-length, rustproof aluminum rod connects and holds the body and lid together; hinge stops are molded in the lid so the hinge will never break
  • Screw-in gasketed drain plug won't leak; partially unscrew the plug to drain water
  • Haul handles on the ends are designed to make carrying a loaded cooler easier for 2 people; textured grips are secured with marine-grade nylon rope
  • Use the integrated recessed handles when you're carrying the cooler by yourself
  • Included dry goods rack keeps your sandwiches from getting soggy
  • Nonmarking rubber feet on the bottom of the cooler keep it from sliding around the deck of your boat

Rated 2 out of 5 by from There are better options for the price you pay I bought this a few weeks ago online, so I never saw it in person. Had read great reviews. I got it and it did what it was supposed to do...Keep stuff really cold. However, I think their numbering system is very deceiving. The Yeti Roadie 20 is a 20 quart model.... logically, I thought that the Yeti Tundra 45 would be a 45 quart. It is actually only 37.6 quarts. I know this doesn't seem like a big difference, but for $25 more, I could have gotten the Tundra 50 (47.2 quarts). I returned mine and bought and RTIC 45 (that actually holds 45 quarts) for $175. Yeti is a great product but you are certainly paying 50% just for the name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cooler ever I'm not sure what I can say about this cooler that has not already been said, but I'll try. First off it's the perfect size for a 2 night camping trip or a day at the park with some friends. It's a little on the heavy side, but as with all gear that is the tradeoff for the near indestructible durability. It holds ice for days, the basket is good for keeping things out of the water and ice, the tiedowns make it easy to secure in the bed of a truck or roof basket and it's the perfect height to sit on. Buy once, cry once is my motto. Just stop thinking about how much it costs and buy one, you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a YETI I've used my YETI 45 for years and it has never failed me. When I was a field engineer, I'd keep this in the back of my truck in the 110+ deg heat of Oklahoma. I'd only have to change ice out every 2 or 3 days. Even after multiple days, the ice water is still near freezing. Simply amazing that after 8-9 days I have very cold Gatorades/drinks. Can't say enough good things about it. I didn't buy one for a while because the price scared me, but it is worth it and more. Keep in mind that the interior may be a little smaller that coolers of similar size and lower quality. Thats the price you pay for keeping things cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Product This past weekend was the maiden voyage of our Yeti cooler. Not only is it tough but it is easy to carry around even when loaded down with ice. We brought several coolers with us on our trip for craft beer and the Yeti was the only cooler that did not need any ice put in it everyday. In fact, it is still sitting in my dining room full of ice and beer from this weekend. I was surprised how much we fit in the 45. We loaded it down with larger beer cans and were able to fit a great deal in it as shown in the photo. Also, I used Yeti Ice to initially cool the cooler down before putting beer in it and it worked like a charm. If you bring back the pink coolers again, I will be buying another. Love all of my Yeti products!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stands Up to Life! I bought the Tundra 35 a few weeks back and haven't been disappointed! As a firefighter we often travel stations. I'm able to pack ice and all of my supplies for a shift in the tundra and leave it on the truck! When I have to travel I just take it out and move stations. I know that I always have cold supplies that I don't have to check on. I can put ice in it on Friday and Monday morning just drain the water off, add a little more ice and I'm good to go. Any other cooler I've owned would have everything floating after the first day! If you're on the fence, buy one, it's absolutely worth the money! Customer for life!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure yet I wanted two things in a cooler: 1) durability 2) ice retention. My experience suggests the Yeti 45L Tundra delivers very well on desire #1 and average on desire #2. I keep my Yeti in an air-conditioned room, add ice cold drinks and fill with ice. I get about 24-36 hours of ice retention INDOORS when opening about 2 times per day. My Yeti had a warped lid (which did not appear to affect the seal integrity at all), so we will see how the replacement performs. The customer service was very good when I needed the replacement. I will re-rate after trying the new cooler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior cooler! I just wish this had been available 40 years ago, because I'm 63 and it's obviously going to outlive me. Examples of its capabilities: armed only with a single gas-station bag of ice and not pre-chilled, it kept my food cold in the back of my truck for two days in the desert near Death Valley where the daytime temp was 118F. In less extreme heat, that bag of ice can last up to a week. It's a bit of a splurge but when you consider all the ice you don't have to buy and the food that isn't spoiled, it will eventually pay for itself. I now use it instead of a fridge in my truck camper, because it sits there silently cooling vs. using power and going "thrum" in the night. It also makes a good seat, and I use it to step up to my over-cabin bed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2016 Ford Explorer Owners - This is a PERFECT FIT Just a quick note. Bought a brand new 2016 Explorer - which has a deep well behind the 3rd seat. The Roadie fits, sure. But I thought I could ramp up, so I tried a 35. Fits. (Strosniders in Bethesda, MD let me take Tundras out to the parking lot to test the fit. They're awesome.) Then, tried my 50. Fits - but you cannot open the lid with the cooler in the well. So just for laughs, tried the 45. OH man - it is PERFECT. Like it's made for the Explorer. Fits, opens, everything. Just sayin'.

Does it fit in a camaro trunk? Change my car and could not find a good size cooler that fit in it.

Asked by: Will work for Food
The exterior dimensions of the Tundra 45 Cooler are 25 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 16 inches at the widest points. We suggest measuring your trunk to see if this will fit.
